Anna Dello Russo Designs Accessories for H&M

Designer and retailer collaborations have become quite common nowadays in the fashion industry, something much anticipated and even something obligatory for fashion already. One of the high street labels that is quite active in teaming up with world-famous names is H&M, and the Swedish retailer has another super-exciting deal for big fashion addicts now! This time, Anna Dello Russo, the famous Italian fashion director at large of Vogue Nippon, has partnered with H&M in order to design a special line of glam accessories for the upcoming fall season. From precious jewelry and glam sunglasses to covetable handbags and shoes, the upcoming Anna Dello Russo for H&M accessories collection has Anna’s unique, extravagant style imprinted all over.

“I am excited by this collaboration: this is the first time H&M involves a Fashion Director in a special project. This is the sign of an important evolution in fashion, and I am both thrilled and humbled to be the one chosen to lead it,” Dello Russo said in a statement from H&M. As for the collection, she said that, “I wanted to create precious accessories that are impossible to find. As a stylist I know accessorization is essential: it is the personal touch to any outfit. With these pieces everybody can have fun, turning an ordinary day into a fantastic fashion day.”
“It’s been extremely exciting to involve Anna Dello Russo in this project, something completely different from what we have done before. Anna has a fantastic eye and a strong taste, apart from being a veritable fashion icon. She produced an extravagant range of accessories that will get H&M customers and everyone in love with fashion excited. The collection is a celebration of excess, fantasy and decoration,” says Margareta van den Bosch, Creative Advisor at H&M.

According to a press release, the new Anna Dello Russo for H&M accessories collection fall 2012 includes “jewelry, sunglasses, shoes, bags and trolley – all designed so H&M customers can acquire unique style at an affordable price”, and it will be available for purchase in 140 H&M stores worldwide starting October 4. Until then, we can just take a look at some of the gorgeous accessories from this collection and watch the video, where Anna shows us her fashionable home. Enjoy!
