Ever since it was announced about the collaboration between Swedish high-street retailer H&M and Anna Dello Russo, we have all been extremely excited to discover the full collection of the upcoming show-stoppers. Today, finally the brand has released the complete Anna Dello Russo for H&M Accessories lookbook and we must admit it’s beyond our expectations! The collection is full of glamour, luxury and a statement-making style, something all modern fashionisers are seeking nowadays. From cool jewelry designs and eyewear to shoes and bags, the Anna Dello Russo for H&M Accessories collection has all the necessary pieces to put an end to all your sartorial cravings this cold season.
The full Anna Dello Russo for H&M Accessories collection consists of 50 unique items, including jewelry, sunglasses, shoes, bags and a trolley. The accessories are priced from $24.95 for pendant earrings, which draw inspiration from antique jewelry, to $299 for thigh-high black leather boots that will definitely put you on the spotlight instantly. Groucho-Marx-eyebrow sunglasses, a clutch topped with the miniature version of Anna’s dog, Cucciolina, killer high-heel boots, standout necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings, handbags and clutches are some of the pieces found in the Anna Dello Russo for H&M Accessories collection.
“Accessories are like vitamins to fashion — as such, you should use them liberally,” Dello Russo said.
“There is something feisty and over the top in this collection,” stated Margareta van den Bosch, creative director for H&M.
The Italian fashion editor and style blogger, who spent 18 years at Condé Nast Italia as fashion editor of Vogue Italia and editor of L’Uomo Vogue, will mark the launch on September 27. The event will definitely be memorable with a ball at the Paradis Latin cabaret in Paris, featuring a remarkable performance by Azealia Banks and other stars.
The entire Anna Dello Russo for H&M Accessories collection aims to reveal what it feels like to travel to Fashion Weeks around the world and bring out the fantasy that goes with it. This becomes especially evident thanks to the presence of the turquoise suitcase with golden scrolls. “I wanted to re-create the excitement of the fashion week tour, when you enter a dreamy fashion bubble that is almost a parallel reality. I tried to capture that sense of freedom, joy and excitement,” she said.
“Airports will be less gray and impersonal if you bring this kind of travelwear with you. It’s like a dash of fairy tale magic, or Alice’s white rabbit — a door to a new dimension,” she added.
Anna herself features in one of the photos from the lookbook and she has also released “Fashion Shower,” a song and music video directed by Alex Turvey, to mark the collection. In the glamorous video, she also gives fashion advice on how to look fashion forward all the time and stand out in the crowd.
The Anna Dello Russo for H&M Accessories collection is scheduled to be launched in about 140 H&M stores worldwide on Oct. 4, 2012. Dello Russo plans to donate a portion of her commission for the project to the Japanese branch of the International Red Cross.
