Rihanna & Manolo Blahnik Team Up On Winter Boots That Are Going to Be “Savage”

Whenever Rihanna has to deal with shoes, we all know things are going to hit big. This time around, if possible, she outdid herself teaming up with the stiletto king, Manolo Blahnik, creating a collection of winter boots that is going to be “Savage”, indeed.

Rihanna x Manolo Blahnik "Savage" Winter Boots Collection

Rihanna, whose Fenty x Puma creepers won the prestigious Shoe of The Year award, has just revealed her second collaboration with shoe designer Manolo Blahnik, whose designs were featured in every red carpet, high fashion show and fancy event during the Nineties. Needless to say, the latest Rihanna x Manolo Blahnik capsule collection embodies both Blahnik’s Nineties vibes, and Rihanna’s street wear allure, and is extremely whimsical and one-of-a-kind, for sure.

Evocatively entitled “Savage”, this capsule collection launches tomorrow, November 16th. Mainly inspired by Rihanna’s passion for Timberland work boots (which she often wears) and Blahnik’s Sex & the City-approved stilettos, Savage consists of three different styles – ‘Fallon’, ‘Dominique’ and ‘Alexis’.

‘Fallon’ is a remake of the classic Timberland boot, of course, here revamped with stiletto heels and cozy furry trims, and coming in two colors – ivory and coffee. ‘Dominique’ is a thigh-high boot made of black pony skin, and finished off with laser-cut floral brocade designs.

‘Alexis’ also features a knee-length design, but got completely covered with a warm furry trim that runs around the top and down the laces and that is just perfect for the cold winter season. ‘Alexis’ comes in two shades, too, ivory and cinnamon, and some of you may actually have already seen it somewhere.

While ‘Dominique’ slightly reminds us of Rihanna’s latest creations from her Maria Antoinette-inspired Fenty collection for the spring and summer seasons, which both Jennifer Lopez and Beyoncé loved wearing in their latest music videos (they even ‘starred’ in Jennifer Lopez’ “Ain’t Your Mama” video!), ‘Alexis’ copiously draws inspiration from Blahnik’s previous furry ankle boots.

Although both Rihanna and Manolo Blahnik still have to release comments regarding their latest effort, we bet the Rihanna x Manolo Blahnik Savage capsule collection won’t be that affordable. With the first Rihanna x Manolo Blahnik collection featuring price tags that ranged between $895 and $3,995, we expect this one to be equally expensive.

All the three styles from the second Rihanna x Manolo Blahnik Savage capsule collection for winter 2016-2017 are limited edition and will be available for purchase only in Manolo Blahnik’s selected stores, and online at manoloblahnik.com. Get ready to act fast!
