Sarah Jessica Parker is expanding her SJP footwear line this time launching bridal shoes to make all those brides-to-be head-to-toe perfect on their big days. While the wedding dress is the first thing that plays an important role in turning the bride into the princess of the night, without the correct pair of Cinderella shoes the ball can end way too soon. You may already know how to choose wedding shoes to match your bridal gown, however, you certainly need to find the right place to shop to make your dreams come true. Guess what? The new SJP wedding shoes line is all about diversity and elegance featuring classic pumps and court shoes in a rainbow of colors to cater to various style needs and preferences. The designs available within this collection are absolutely beautiful, and what’s more they let you channel SJP’s iconic style on your big day!
The 50-year-old brunette beauty talked about the fantastic news in the latest issue of Martha Steward Weddings, where she also gives a piece of fashion advice on creating the perfect bridal look. While she chose a rather unconventional look for her big day back in 1997 when getting married with husband Matthew Broderick walking down the aisle in a black wedding dress, she has revealed in the interview that she’d go for a more classic look if she were getting married today. “If I were getting married today, I’d likely wear cream, just to have that bridal experience. I would want my dress to have an Oscar de la Renta feel, pockets below the waist, a very fitted bodice, a huge skirt, in taffeta or duchesse satin. That silhouette appeals to me because it’s old-fashioned yet can look very modern,” she said. “At a wedding, people might strive for a more formal feeling, but a lot of the rules can be broken today. ‘Formal’ could be a handful of carnations, beautiful and simple.”
The SJP bridal shoe collection is all about the classic pointy-toe pumps, usually embellished with vintage inspired brooches on the toe and featuring luxurious satin as the main fabric. Of course, white or cream aren’t the only colors available, as the line also offers royal blue pumps that will look fantastic with your cream, ivory or white dress, also acting as that “something blue” you want to wear on your wedding day. Then, there are also pale green and plum shades, but also lovely court shoes and Mary Janes with tiny crystal embellishments on the strap. Not all the shoes are about the elegant classic style, as the collection also brings a modern vibe through the pointy-toe strappy pumps in a gorgeous ivory coloring.
Lucky are all those brides-to-be, as their big day is still ahead and they can wear their dream wedding shoes from the SJP footwear collection. The shoes are already available for purchase online at bloomingdales.com, nordstrom.com and andzapposcouture.com.
