Willow Smith Presents a Stance Socks Collection

Who says socks cannot function as statement fashion pieces? Willow Smith took the chance to collaborate with Stance once more to prove that socks should never be underestimated, creating a brand new Willow Smith x Stance socks capsule collection now available at stance.com.

Willow Smith x Stance Socks Collection

With prices retailing between $14 and $18, the Willow Smith x Stance socks collection takes us space travelling to another galaxy, while at the same time really exuding Smith’s otherworldly creativity and visionary attitude towards fashion.

Willow Smith’s ventures into sock design might be, in fact, called as a sort of experimental fashion statement, as her Stance socks capsule collection consists of two fits with three different cryptic messages, namely the “You Thought You Knew” ($14) and the “Step into the Unknown” ($18) in black and white, and the whimsical “Earth vs. Cosmo” (18$) in a waterfall motif.

While her first capsule collection with Stance was more “earthly” and depicted cute botanical motifs, this one was inspired by our “ever-changing universe”, a philosophical pattern we could transpose to Willow Smith’s career path so far, as well.

To make things even better and artistically inspiring, Willow had the chance to experiment with the capsule collection’s ad campaign too, which displays the futuristic 16-year-old talent modeling her socks wearing a black, liquid bodysuit. Her white makeup and Nineties-inspired hairstyle are just the icing on the cake, and prove her astounding skills whenever she is given carte blanche to make her own fashion statements.

“With Stance I was given total creative freedom to tell a story and share my vision. I pull a lot of inspiration from the idea that there is more about this world than the here and now, and that’s what this collection represents to me. I like the thought that every day you can step into the unknown,” she declared.

It has been a dynamic year for the singer-turned-designer, who has been making waves in the modeling industry a lot in the past few months, becoming a role model for anyone who is looking for different ways to freely express themselves. Not only did she become one of Karl Lagerfeld’s iconic muses, but was also featured, along with her brother, as the cover girl for Interview Magazine.

As for Stance, the label embraces individuality with both its resident collections and collaborations, working as a hotbed for talents and even selling top-notch capsule collections such as that with Rihanna’s Fenty label.

We cannot wait to see what’s next for both Stance and Willow Smith!
