Do you like tattoos? Sometimes we positively love them too! Other times, not so much. Depends on what we see at the moment. The more artistic the designs, the more likely to gain our approval. Then again, many people seem to get random bouts of tattoos that just look too disorganized for our tastes.
Of course, there are those who get their tattoos to create something beautiful out of a body that has been marred by cancer, specifically if there has been a double mastectomy to remove the danger. In this case, we see some rather incredible designs by really creative individuals, which help recreate the body of the woman who has forgotten to feel beautiful.
Some have opted for tattooed gorgeous bras, others have florals or animals drawn on, removing from a person’s notice the fact that nipples or sometimes whole breasts are missing. While some tattoos are done in bad taste for some individuals, like misspelled words and rather indecent drawings on forearms, others have a story to tell and a body to beautify.
Or they can just be really wacky but awesome 3 dimensional pieces that are rather hard to forget. The 2D tattoos are cool and all, but it is the 3D acrylic tattoos that have us flabbergasted, mouth left open and eyes feasting on the artistic creations before us.
Now, all tattoos need not be with a needle and ink either. It appears that Natasha Farnsworth has discovered a new way of painting on people, tattooing using acrylic paints, the back becoming the canvas more often than not and a woman’s body being turned into multi-colored caves, ethereal galaxies and rather fascinating waterfalls, the images themselves so very real that one seems to get sucked into their world entirely. In Farnsworth’s case, her lover is her canvas and the romance of drawing on her back is rather enviable.
Some are on the scarier side though, something you don’t realize looking at the colorful cave option. In the horror scene designs, we notice some frighteningly real-looking snakes pushing forward out of a ripped back.
And then there is that enchanting night sky, a mottled rip on the back giving way to a whole universe beyond, as if the woman before us is something out of a science fiction movie, a goddess of sorts with the galaxy as her epicenter. There is a beautiful earthly night sky as the dusk gives way to Nuit, though that and the waterfall look a little too 2D for our tastes.
And then we notice ourselves on another planet, staring through a window over heavenly oceans towards what we deem to be earth, unless we have entered a whole different nebula on its own. We much prefer the gentleness of the tones there, the image having floated around the Internet for years now, over the creepy caves with the dripping lava seen though openings on the back and rather reminding us of certain glimpses of Hell that we notice on Farnsworth’s lover as well.
All in all, it is really interesting how something like a tattoo can be revamped and reworked and turned into a totally different form of art, where what you put on is no longer entirely permanent and you won’t have to go through the embarrassment of removing from the face or other parts of the body when things go downhill.
Acrylic it is, darling, and we really would love to try some on ourselves! Maybe we should go backless over the summer and have these incredible 3D tattoos showing off a whole different side of us entirely?
