5 Beauty Trends for 2015 You’ll Love To Try

Believe it or not we have officially entered the year of the sheep, 2015. This means that all you know about beauty, style and trends needs a quick refresh and possibly full update, as 2014 trends have been kicked out the door (at least in some part) and the coming seasons are full of runway trends you won’t want to be missing out on. We all love a good trend and a good shakeup of our know-how is a good thing from time to time. We’re looking ahead at what’s ahead of us and we know we don’t want to be lagging behind in the fashion department!

It does appear that many of the styles that were so loved during the past year in 2014 are also influencing the works of 2015. Baby bobs and flash tattoo lovers are in for a rather good treat it seems, though if any of these top 2015 beauty trends are so not your thing, no one’s obligated to follow the latest and newest ways of dressing up.

The Bottom Liner

The divergent look that elongated the eyes from last year is out and the grunge look with the smudged bottom eyeliner is totally in. It’s so easy to wear this inky makeup, but not every girl will feel comfortable with this Avril Lavigne look day in and day out. The smudged kohl long the bottom waterline and lash line while the top lid stays clean is interesting to say the least, but for those of us used to doing the top only and not the bottom, it will take quite a few tries to get used to. For those with smaller eyes though, it will certainly enlarge your peepers!

That Shag

While it was the baby bob that melted everyone’s hearts in 2014, this year it’s all about the longer bob known as the shag, with the edges of the longest tendrils barely touching the top of the shoulders. Those with the bob can now just let it grow out a little, while doing little more than washing the hair and going out with that seriously sassy edge to the tresses. You actually don’t have to try to achieve this look at all, which is all the rage these days, what with the boho waves and wet looking hair on the runways.

More Polish Than Perfection

You’re not going for the perfect #thisishowIwakeup look that was so in last year, with all the fake no-makeup faces that clearly were done up and the seriously annoying hashtagging day in and day out. Instead, you’re going for the groomed and polished, little effort look, wherein you have amplified your natural features so it does show that you put in some work, but not that you spent hours perfecting yourself. Instead, you actually look rather natural, what with the minimal eyeliner and lip color amplifying your own pout. It’s the barely visible effort that’s all in now so let’s see what the next hashtag craze will be!

Golden Face Adhesives

Those shimmering golden tattoos that everyone that was celebrity or not was wearing out to the parties have evolved. Just like the dinosaurs of millennia past have become the common amphibians of today, barely a small portion of their ancient sizes, these golden trends have also become smaller and smaller, turning themselves into press-on eyeliners and sprinkled stars on faces. Faux piercings somehow also enter the rink, while in general we moved from body decorations to adult face painting.

Reviving the Red

This fifth trend we absolutely adore. It’s for all those who love the red lipstick and have been waiting for its comeback to the forefront of the fashion world. We have been seeing it in the pre-fall collections in particular, but whereas 2014 was all about the bright colors in orange, pink, fuchsia and all shades purple, 2015 is the year of the red. With the big stars like Dolce & Gabbana, Burberry, and Max Mara backing the trend, we know we did well by keeping those Versace reds tucked in our makeup bags.
