After bringing the year to a close with a collaboration on the MAC Viva Glam collection, Ariana Grande started off this new year by announcing and subsequently launching her very first fashion line. The young actress and singer has just teamed up with British clothing line Lipsy, and is soon going to release a fresh lineup inspired by her personal style.
For those who know Lipsy and/or follow the singer on Instragram, such news is no surprise. The brand began teasing its followers a few days ago with a creative picture of Ariana Grande on Instagram, where the 22-year-old singer is wearing a strapless floral mini dress, her iconic half-up half-down ponytail and is surrounded by big colorful balloons. The caption goes further with the details unveiling the collection’s released date: “The wait is over! We’re SO excited to announce that our new celebrity collaboration is @ArianaGrande! The #ArianaforLipsy collection will be available online at Lipsy.com and in UK stores from 2nd March 2016! ❤”
But we are not done with the news yet. Grande will be launching another collection for Lipsy and this time it will be for summer 2016 (the due date is May 2016). What a majestic start, for someone who is taking the first steps in the fashion industry! Although Grande is surely accustomed to the beauty world (besides collaborating with MAC Cosmetics, she also launched a unisex fragrance with Frankie, her older brother, entitled Frankie by Ariana Grande earlier last month), and we all know she doesn’t like to ramp down when it comes to business, Ariana is definitely venturing into something big that will probably tell whether she has a future and is going to make it as a fashion designer or not.
“It’s so great getting to collaborate with Lipsy to do something special for my fans. The line is youthful, affordable and I know my fans will love it,” declared Grande, revealing also something more about the collection’s style and price tags.
We now know that the Ariana Grande’s Lipsy lineup includes prom dresses, daytime dresses, evening party dresses in general, tops, skirts and even a biker jacket that combined with one of the delicate frocks will surely give anyone the evergreen ‘good girl gone bad’ look. As for the prices, we may add that the collaboration is quite affordable too, with tops starting at £32 and dresses at £35 (circa $46 and $51 accordingly). The collection is available at U.K stores but don’t worry if you live overseas, Lipsy’s international shipping will reach you far and wide!
