New and interesting changes are taking place in the world of fashion. One of them is the choice of Mango, which this time stopped on the Ukrainian super model Daria Werbowy to be the new face of its coming campaigns, replacing one of the most favorite Victoria’s Secret Angels Miranda Kerr. Talking about this choice, Ninona Vila, MNG by Mango’s public relations manager noted, “Beyond her impressive career, in which she has been the face of the best brands in fashion and cosmetics, Daria perfectly represents the values of Mango. She is a young girl with a strong personality and sense of style”.
The upcoming Mango spring 2014 campaign images have been taken by Josh Olins having the picturesque Lanzarote sceneries on the Canary Islands as a background. As far as it can be assumed from these images, appearing in March fashion magazines, the pieces that Daria features are concentrated around relaxed and fluttery silhouettes, slightly boho, and equally hippie inspired solutions, and some ethnic motives appearing with some of the pieces.
Being the successor of such celebrities as Penélope Cruz, Milla Jovovich, Lizzy Jagger, Karolina Kurkova, Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigova, Inés Sastre, Claudia Schiffer, Christy Turlington, and Diane Kruger as previous Mango ambassadors, Daria is a really fresh role model for representing the newly emerging and quite spectacular drives of the Spanish brand. Being a strong and unique personality, Daria can indeed have a say in reflecting the daring ideology of Mango, at the same time preserving what is so typical and natural of this popular Spanish brand.
So we’re just super excited to see the results of this auspicious collaboration, which does promise some changes for the silhouettes and the designs of Mango pieces. Once again, the most important tool for us is patience, to finally find out how far Daria and Mango are going to take us this time.
