Hailey Baldwin Also Tries Her Hand At Fashion Design

Supermodel Hailey Baldwin, who recently signed with IMG Models and just appeared in the Guess fall 2016 ad campaign, is definitely working on building a multitasking curriculum vitae. The 19-year-old beauty now turns her hand to fashion design by teaming up with Australian brand The Daily Edited.

With so many models turning designers by only choosing the design patterns for a specific capsule collection, knowing that Hailey Baldwin decided to fully immerse herself in the artisanal world by taking part in the entire design process is good and inspiring news, indeed.

Following the ‘keeping it simple’ mantra, Hailey Baldwin’s dream array of goods includes totes, bucket bags, rucksacks, passport holders, clutches and even makeup bags, which all turned out to be elegant at the purest. When it comes to accessories, Baldwin’s style appears to be both sophisticated and modern at the same time, as reflected especially in the colors and common silhouettes of the pieces chosen.

While a pale, creamy pink and a bold vivid black dominate the collection in terms of colors, asymmetry and edgy geometric libes play a huge role when it comes to the shapes, adding an impressive ‘fancy factor’ to the entire #theHAILEYedited collection. She also managed to combine femininity and functionality by creating backpacks structured and big enough to carry a 13-inch laptop. As revealed by The Daily Edited team, Hailey specifically drew inspiration from her busy lifestyle.

“Hailey’s jetsetting lifestyle (travelling from location to location for shoots) means she needs to keep organised and she loved our travel accessories,” read one of the team’s press notes.

As for Hailey, she is happier than ever before. “I am excited as this is the first time I have ever designed my own capsule collection, something I have always wanted to do,” Baldwin told The Daily Mail, giving us a glimpse of what she will very likely do in the future.

With more and more models simultaneously walking the catwalks and working at their own lines/capsule collections (just think about Kendall Jenner or Miranda Kerr), we really feel like the fashion industry is changing drastically, focusing more on pieces that are becoming virally ready-to-wear thanks to these It-girls. Besides being a model, Hailey could be undeniably described as an It-girl/influencer, and this ‘power’ will influence the #theHAILEYedited collection’s sales, for sure.
