Kristen Stewart is The New Face of The “Gabrielle Chanel” Fragrance

The ultimate Chanel girl, Kristen Stewart is going to be the new face of Chanel’s latest fragrance- Gabrielle Chanel. As announced on Wednesday, Karl Lagerfeld’s favorite actress is going to represent Chanel’s latest perfume. The fragrance carries the name of the late, legendary founder of the iconic brand and it is the first stand-alone perfume of Chanel in the last 15 years.

This is just another ladder of success for Stewart. The talented actress first became an ambassador of Chanel in 2013. Since then she has collaborated with the fashion house on many occasions. At the moment she is in the spotlight for being the star of the Gabrielle bag. She has been their main star for the Métiers d’Art collections- the one in 2014 Paris to Dallas and the one in 2016 Paris to Rome. In 2016 Kristen continued to collaborate with the fashion house as their face of makeup, being included in many campaigns and advertisements.

Oliver Polge teamed up with the Chanel Fragrance Creation and Development Laboratory to create the fragrance. Knowing his immaculate taste in perfumes, from his previous successes Coco Mademoiselle, Chance, and Allure, everyone anticipates another amazing scent. As described, the fragrance will have a rather abstract floral scent. This very much describes Stewart’s appearance, so it looks like Karl Lagerfeld made another wise choice. In the long list of Chanel-Stewart collaborations, there is also the short film “Once and Forever” shot by Karl Lagerfeld. In this movie, Kristen perfectly portrays the young Coco Chanel. In other words, Karl’s admiration for the young star is indisputable.

The fragrance is expected to be released in September, along with a film campaign shot by the very talented British director Ringan Ledwidge. The photographer Karim Sadli is the mastermind behind the print ads.

Kristen is not an amateur when it comes to promoting perfumes. In her resume, there is the collaboration with Balenciaga, where she promoted their “Florabotanica” for four seasons.

The “Twilight” actress has obviously been working very hard. Besides her arrangements with Chanel, she has been very active in the film industry. Later this month, she will be attending the Cannes Film Festival to promote her directorial debut “Come Swim.” This short film was already showcased at the Sundance Festival in January. All of her fans are eagerly waiting for her latest movie “Lizzie,” directed by Craig William Macneill.
