It is the era of the applications! It is the era of making money off your applications and trying to garner the most support for them possible. It also seems that many celebrities are turning to making apps that feature everything from tips to personal updates in order to bring in an extra load of cash. Kylie Jenner is one of those celebs and has quickly overtaken her sisters in her scheming to make hers the best received on the market. All of them seem to have launched apps over the past few weeks, but it is Kylie Jenner’s app that has taken the top spot it appears, leaving her step-sisters Kim and Khloe lagging behind. Queen Kylie is sitting rather happily on the Kardashian throne, despite the fact that she is indeed a Jenner. From the over a million, who signed up for the apps, Kylie’s version brought in a staggering 74% of the market share. The ranking? Kylie at 74%, Khloe at 11%, Kim at 9% and Kendall trailing pretty low with 6%. That is absurd! And it is the truth. Kylie is officially the queen bee, despite being the youngest of the sisters. She even posted a picture showing her app reigning over the iTunes store as well, above Instagram and Facebook.
The Kylie Jenner application was launched right smack in the middle of the New York Fashion Week, which makes it all the more prestigious, garnering a whole lot more attention. It may be free to download, but it does cost 2.99$ USD a month, making it a costly enterprise that the celebrity justifies by stating that a lot of the stuff you see there is more personal and she would rather be getting something in return for the information revealed. Plus, the girl does put a lot of time into it, making the app all the more worthy of the money you pay.
So what exactly does the app include? There is a beauty series called “Help! My Face is F-ed!” as well as makeup tutorials, behind the scenes videos and a whole lot more; this includes shopping suggestions and tips on how to find her looks for lower prices, as well as style tips. The last of these was shown off first up with a tutorial on how to get her cleavage, debunking the theories that she has indeed gotten a boob job.
The Kardashian sisters are on track to make $25.5 million USD this year from their venture combined, each of them just about $3 to follow. Kylie’s app is projected to have sales that reach $400,467 in the first week alone, which is huge! I wish we could make an app like that. The app has started charging as of September 21 and we are quite excited to see that there will be a Kourtney Kardashian app coming up soon. Will there be a Rob Kardashian app as well? Let’s just wait to find out! After all, what else do we have to do than watch all those lovely beauty tutorials the girls have to present us with?
