Madonna Teams Up With Gucci, Moschino On New Tour Costumes

If there is one person you can easily picture next to Gucci and Moschino, it’s Madonna! Her name hasn’t gone to waste and she’s done a legendary job of branding herself. In fact, she’s one of the few people in the world, who have managed to keep their fame for such a long time. One of the reasons for it, I think, is that we love so many things about her that are not even directly connected to her talent (remember? It’s singing). So, high fashion has been a key; even now you, me, and everyone around you would most probably pay a high ticket cost to see the new Madonna tour costumes designed by Gucci and Moschino. The new designs have been prepared for her “Rebel Heart” World Tour. It’s named after the 13th studio album (now we know Madonna is not very superstitious) that bears the same name.

You’d think celebrities love wearing designer clothing, but in case of her, designers like to dress Madonna. And that’s how the 56-years old singer has been releasing pieces of her tour design. Now we know that she’s been working with her devoted costume designer, Academy Award-winning Arianne Phillips. Besides Phillips, who’s also going to present her own costumes, the beats and pieces she’s been dropping around suggest some of the world’s top designers like Fausto Puglisi, Prada, Miu Miu, Swarovski and even the Gucci creative director is involved. This means something big is coming.

We’ve already spotted some of the costumes that could possibly be a part of the tour as well. Do you remember Scott for Moschino from the Costume Institute gala? What about the Moschino outfit in “B**ch I’m Madonna?” Yes! We remember them all! What we also remember and find pretty fishy is that Versace, who won over Madonna for their new advertising campaign in 2015, hasn’t been too enthusiastic about jumping into competition. Everyone else is, and not for just 2015 tour. Madonna has been inspiring, finding and motivating talented designers for years now. In fact, if you’re a beginner designer, but are extremely proud of your garments, try to stay in Madonna’s sight. One of your dresses could easily end up on a Madonna tour, just the way she wore the cone bra designed by Jean Paul Gaultier in 1990.

In any case, the tour is opening in Montreal on September 9 and seems to be one of the most epic things you can witness this year. We’re just waiting for the next snippet published online, which will allow us to picture Madonna’s tour, as we’re always very impatient. Show us your costumes, Madonna! We dare you!
