The success of fashion retailers and famous fashion houses is closely connected with the model, who is representing their products. The more famous and talented he or she is, the greater fame is brought to the brand and consequently, the more fans the brand gains. This is an undeniable truth, and it becomes clear every time a brand choses an ambassador. Now, it’s famous designer shoe brand Jimmy Choo sparking excitement by announcing the name of their new face: Nicole Kidman. The gorgeous 45-year-old Hollywood actress will star in the Jimmy Choo fall/winter 2013-2014 campaign, set to be released in August, 2013. Mikael Jansson was responsible for the photos.
This isn’t Nicole’s first fashion gig with a famous name. She has also been the face of Chanel No. 5 fragrance and Omega Watches. Talking about her Jimmy Choo collaboration, she said: “I’ve always loved fashion and often use it as a way to get into character. There is a lot of complexity, mystery and femininity to the Jimmy Choo woman.”
In her turn, Sandra Choi, the brand’s creative director stated: “I’m such a great admirer and feel enormously honoured to be working with Nicole Kidman. Nicole is one of the finest actresses in the world, who I knew could convey the empowered glamour of the brand. But she is also so nuanced and refined; she brings an attitude of defiance, strength, sensuality and elegance.”
This isn’t the only good news from Jimmy Choo for the upcoming season! Since, Sandra Choi was appointed the brand’s creative director just this year, she decided it’s time to bring some innovation to the Jimmy Choo style. She explains this the following way: “It’s time to give this place a shake. Jimmy Choo is that sexy, strappy, stiletto thing – but it can be something else, too. [The new Choo woman] doesn’t need to get her hair done, and she has a sense of attitude which is, ‘You know what? This is me.’”
This means that the upcoming Jimmy Choo fall/winter 2013-2014 collection will feature every style for every taste and occasion. Just wait a little to see this!
