This was a great occasion for him to revisit his roots and present the best of his sartorial values in the brand new 3.1 Phillip Lim pre-fall 2015 collection. The result is something extremely bewitching and perhaps the best we have seen from the brand so far: a line filled with functional, elegant and perfectly tailored clothing pieces with great attention to small details.

“It’s a maximal approach to minimalism. The pieces are relatively subdued and clean, but a maximal amount of through goes into their details,” Phillip Lim tried to explain the idea behind the chic 3.1 Phillip Lim pre-fall 2015 collection.

Monochrome and minimalistic are the best adjectives to describe the entire 3.1 Phillip Lim pre-fall 2015 collection, which features an array of perfectly tailored and styles separates, including knee-length shorts, blazers, trousers, asymmetric hem skirts, miniskirts, fab tunics, coats and capes with blanket motifs. Elegant stripes and modest florals put in the same shades as the pieces they appear on come to add interest to the overall monochrome theme.

Sporty vibes are also present here put in action through a duo of an elegant checkered varsity jacket with matching pants.
