We love Giambattista Valli. Or at least I do. There is just something so very appealing about his quirky sense of style and his absolute understanding of all that the fashion world entails. So when 7 for All Mankind and Giambattista Valli collaborate on a capsule collection, we are thoroughly fascinated and undeniably pleased with the results. It is all about the haute denim here and we are head over heels in love with that spectrum of pink and orange that has been displayed before us. It is like a fashion lover’s dreams come true, with shimmering red sling back pumps and legging style denim that moulds onto the body beautifully. The two design houses have teamed up to create a line that is sure to reach cult status, with the inspirations taken from Valli’s spring/summer 2014 couture collection and the fits one that 7 For All Mankind boasts on a regular basis. We are talking slight flares, high waists, skinny jeans and neon bright pieces. We even have sling back heels in metallic silver and neon yellow coloring that tantalizes our senses to no end.
“Denim fascinates me, as I am naturally drawn to exploring new grounds,” says Giambattista Valli. “I used denim as a canvas onto which project my vision, thinking of a decidedly young, multicultural clientele of glamorous Valli girls. I worked on both shapes and fabrics, delivering jeans with a strong identity, quite unique for cut and treatment”. We can certainly see where he is coming from as these denim pieces have us spellbound in their grasp as well. The models also take into account the multicultural clientele the houses serve, bringing in the Asian markets with gusto. The glamorous Valli girls certainly are in for a treat with this collection in general. After all, who does not like adding sexy to their wardrobe?
Sexy is delivered in a constant manner when it comes to the 7 For All Mankind brand. Founded in the fall season of the year 2000, the world of fashion was changed forever when it comes to premium denim. It put Los Angeles on the map when it comes to the denim business and has earned a sizeable following for its pieces, a line, which has grown to include sportswear alongside garments for men and children, as well as footwear and accessories. Nicknamed “The Sevens” and a favourite among the elite, we have seen the brand worn by Kim Kardashian, Ashton Kutcher, Ryan Reynolds, Jessica Alba and Kate Bosworth. With over 100 retail locations around the world, 7 For All Mankind has really made a splash in the fashion pool and turned itself into a leader when it comes to premium denim.
One part of the 7 For All Mankind x Giambattista Valli capsule collection is already available this week. It includes the matte-coated red denim high waist skinny pants. The second batch will be the denim embellished with Sanfallo lace and it will not be available until June. These pieces are especially beautiful, with garments such as midi dresses and twin shorts and blazer sets appearing in the line-up. Most of the pieces will average around $425 to $490 and can be found online at 7forallmankind.com.au or at the Emporium Melbourne store on Lonsdale.
