Winter’s got some of the coolest fashion trends that will add some cheer to the frosty exterior and a splash of color to the dull season. We have been combing the fashion runways, checking out all those models and have decided on the winter 2014-2015 must-haves in terms of trendy styles and items. It’s amazing how well some of these match the cold months ahead, and how perfectly they appear to stand out among those opting for warmth and comfort over fashion in freezing temperatures. So check out these 9 winter 2014-2015 fashion trends that you might like to opt for right now!
1. The Solo Earring
It appears the days of multiple piercings have passed and the single earring is in style. Of course, if you are going out with only one of your lobes well-adorned, you better make sure it’s got enough of a punch on its own to withstand the fashion scrutiny! Asymmetric looks are perfect for this trend.
2. The Patterned Dress
You should be standing out and not fitting in with the rest of the darker, duller colored individuals on the street. You have a special sense of style and a personality that’s too strong to go without really making an impression. Whether you want Givenchy, Prada or Burberry, you have some of the most stylish designs in the patterned mini or midi dresses.

3. The Thick Belt
No matter what you’re wearing, using a belt to draw attention to your thinnest region or simply to cinch in the waist is one great idea and trending this winter, particularly in adding a belt to the coats you wear. A leather toggle belt or knot belts are rather stylish and quite lovely!
4. The Pale Pinks
It’s not just baby girls that we don in pale pinks this winter. For a slight splash of color this is one really easy trend to follow that will start the spring pastels early and have then looking great throughout the year! Pretty flats, matching coats and crew neck knits all are part of the trendy pale pink collection.
5. The Blanket Scarves
Scarves are an essential piece of any fall or winter outerwear ensemble, so it makes sense to turn them into blanket-like pieces to help keep the whole body warm. The larger, the better according to Burberry and others offering a similar line. Buckled capes also seem to fit in with the theme of blanket scarves.
6. The Jackets
There are some must-have jackets every fall and winter and this year it’s all about the contrasting collar or fur lining, with the hem sitting at the waist. Leather jackets with lots of zips are most definitely the way to roll.
7. The Zips
Honestly, it appears as if every piece showcased on the runway has been warmed into a zipper mad design, from Carven to Stella and most everything in between. Leather skirts with zips are all too common, while some designers have opted for the functional feature to appear in not-so-functional areas such as the shoulders heading across the chest.
8. The Plaid
When we think flannel checks, we also automatically think cosy, after imagining Scotsmen in skirts. From plaid cotton shirts to mini dresses, this trend’s got some fun in comfort.
9. The Queen Collars
This season is all about statement necklaces, particularly over high necklines, drawing the attention to the elegance of the neck instead.
