Alberta Ferretti Pre-Fall 2015 Collection

The Alberta Ferretti design studio knows a woman’s strength and has capitalized on that knowledge during the presentation of the magical Alberta Ferretti pre-fall 2015 collection. Ferretti, an Italian designer and dressmaker who has a showroom in Milan but a studio in Cattolica, near Rimini, has certainly tapped into the quiet but extremely bold nature of the female sex, creating a collection that emphasizes her lack of need for a knight in shining armour as she can wear the armour herself and fight her way through uncanny obstacles. Motifs of antique suits of armour are seen throughout the line-up, appearing on jacquard velvet or silk fabrics in a sophisticated decorative manner. The long, fluid dresses and maxi skirts paired with ribbed knits are also commonly found, bringing to mind the evolution of strong women from warrior queens to modern day businesswomen, all the while accented by silver and crystals embroidered along the cloth. None can say that a woman’s strength diminishes with opulence either, as she can definitely wear the precious stones on garments that befit her immovable attitude through Alberta Ferretti’s visionary creations.

We like purple very much, so the first piece that caught our attention was the gorgeous purple silk on purple velvet offering , complete with a purple coat to drape around the shoulders for warmth. The loose fitting blouse is cinched at the waist for definition, while the purple leaves add a touch of natural fall design to the look. The pants reach the floor and are in a deeper purple coloring than the rest, with a matching purple stitch designed coat that’s a much lighter hue.

Purple and teal blue really define Alberta Ferretti I the next look, with the high neck on the dress, the lack of sleeves and the full A-line skirts that’s scrunched up at the waist due to a purple sash cinching that part of the body in. The design is simply extraordinary, while the darker purple lining at the hem brings the focus to the coloring underneath the lacy purple notes on top.

What’s a woman but the queen of her own home, the mistress of her land? A rather regal design to the pleated dresses was the perfect touch, with the high waist, V-line opening at the chest, full-length skirt and jacquard cloth on which it’s all designed. The golden brown coloring makes it even more of a royal princess’ wardrobe piece, inspiring the wearer’s actions to mirror that of a noblewoman.

Leggy looks cannot be denied, despite the fact that most of the pieces in the Alberta Ferretti pre-fall 2015 collection are actually focused on the maxi skirts and dresses. The shorter hem on the embellished dress allows a woman to feel sexy while showing off just enough leg without appearing tarty. The silver mesh shoes are reminiscent of chain mail, while the dress itself is like the night sky, glittering against the odd that a woman doth face.

Perhaps our favourite out of the whole collection is the mini hemmed dress that appears to be an amazon queen’s suit of armor, complete with studded belt and vest with the mail underneath. The knee-high black boots would have looked more fearsome had they not been high-heeled themselves, though this way we know that it’s a strong woman in a delicate dress who knows how to stomp on the problems she faces in this world with the stiletto heels that inspire certain sensuality. That just makes this look all the more appealing.
