Alberta Ferretti Spring 2016 Evening Collection

To celebrate her newest showroom in Paris, our favorite Italian designer unveiled a limited edition line of breathtaking dresses Tuesday night – the Alberta Ferretti spring 2016 evening collection, inspired by the grandiose 19th century interior of her Paris showroom. It’s hard to say which one looks more astounding – her new showroom with all those gilded moldings, prestigious chandeliers and the frescoes, or the pretty collection of to-die-for evening dresses embellished with romantic embroideries, luxurious fabrics and vibrant colors? The house she chose as the ideal spot to showcase her impeccable designs was built in 1860 and restored by Aeffe SpA and is supposedly going to house also the Philosophy and Moschino lines. It’s perfectly “in the spirit of Ferretti” and is just next door to the luxury brand’s boutique with the address at 43 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré.

Alberta Ferretti Spring 2016 Evening Collection

The exceptionally unique and flabbergastingly romantic Alberta Ferretti spring 2016 evening collection was demonstrated in the salons and gardens of the showroom accompanied by live piano music. Composed of 28 old-world-inspired dresses, the limited edition collection comes priced 25-30 percent more than a regular Alberta Ferretti piece. These are like haute couture designs meant for special occasions and we are pretty sure to see some of them donned by A-list celebrities during the upcoming red carpet events.

From the gorgeous details used and the pretty silhouettes to the diverse color palette, the collection has many facets to appeal to even the most capricious fashioniser with a sophisticated taste. Champagne, beige, cornflower blue, emerald green, white and deep red are the main colors used, while beautiful tulle frills and pleats, fine lace, beadwork, see-through flowing chiffon, gilded floral embroideries and loads of other golden accents only add to the exquisiteness and fairy-tale allure of the designs. There are ornate Renaissance inspired gowns – so delicate and opulent at the same time, pretty lace, chiffon and tulle ground-skimming dresses and a couple of shorter versions, but also a range of powdery white crystal-adorned tulle designs that can also be the ultimate choice of a romantic bride-to-be looking for something completely out-of-this-world, unique and memorable.

Strapless, sleeveless, short-sleeved or with long sleeves, mini or maxi, perfect for informal events and for the ball of your dreams, these Alberta Ferretti pieces are diverse enough to target high-class ladies with different tastes and preferences. Alongside those dreamy gowns and cocktail dresses, the collection also features a couple of luxurious daytime offerings, like the emerald green coat with golden embellishments topping a dress in the same color and style or the sleeveless dress using the same accents, perfect for some formal events. The looks were styled with absolutely sick gilded flower embellished heeled sandals, as well as chandelier earnings and long necklaces reminding of the dramatic chandeliers of the showroom, and thin printed scarves beautifully braided into the romantic updos of the models. Everything looked too good and too dreamy to be real and not just a wonderful fairy-tale with a happy ending!
