Alberta Ferretti Spring/Summer 2014 RTW – Milan Fashion Week

Goddesses got down on the runway of Milan Fashion Week! The Alberta Ferretti spring/summer 2014 collection was proudly showcased on the first day of MFW, making it undeniably feminine and sophisticated. “I wanted the woman to have a lot of energy,” said Alberta Ferretti about her line. “Positive energy, the joy of living,” this is what she emphasized about the conceptual background of the collection. In fact, the positive energy and the spring awaiting us somewhere ahead are just sparkling out of the colorful pieces of the Alberta Ferretti spring 2014 line.

The inspiration taken from Southern Italy and reaching the wonders of South America has shaped the most fascinating garments one can ever imagine. The “colorful innocence” Ferretti was talking about when mentioning the colorful motives used in the line is absolutely stunning. Chiffon fabric used as a main background for the outfits created a wonderful and sky-touching effect. The iridescent floral motives, created via embroidery and floral prints bring the spring closer than ever. The lace is also here emphasizing the feminine looks of the pieces. Bald and deep V-cuts used on some garments make the models look sassy and cute. The wide variety of collars and sleeves are also worth mentioning.
The way of using black fabrics, especially silk is simply amazing, since being combined with a variety of bright colors, even black seems to be surprisingly colorful. The navy blue and grass green sumptuous dresses of floor length make you look at them and admire over and over again. It’s not once that fashionisers would ah and oh while watching this show. Finally, the real star of the line was the stunning and bright orange gown, which doesn’t need any lights and sparkles to shine. It just makes you go blind as soon as the models appear on the catwalk.
