It-girl Alexa Chung is back with a new fashion gig now! This time, the 28-year-old British model, fashion designer and TV presenter has been named the new face of Maje and stars in the French brand’s cold-season collection. Featuring in the newest black-and-white Maje fall 2012 campaign, Alexa looks fresh and sensual, mixing her personality with those gorgeous fashion pieces and making them appear just fabulous!
“Elegant yet edgy, her attitude reflects a personality that is both glamorous and rock ‘n’ roll,” the brand stated.
Explaining their choice of Alexa as the brand’s new ambassador, Maje’s creative director Judith Milgrom stated: “It’s really love at first sight,” she said. “She’s a chameleon. She has a way of wearing designs that is very personal.” As for Alexa, she seems to be extremely excited with the new project too. “I am thrilled to be the face of Maje for their autumn/winter 2012-13 campaign,” Chung told Vogue UK. “It’s a brand I love and wear, so to be asked was a huge compliment.”
Being a contributing editor of British Vogue, as well as a TV presenter and reporter for Frock Me, Thrift America, 24 Hour Catwalk, Alexa Chung is mostly known for her great style sense and modeling career. She has appeared in the campaigns for Lacoste, Pepe, DKNY, Vero Moda, Madewell and Superga. Moreover, she designs for Madewell.
Alexa’s style is described as “a phenomenon”, according to Vogue’s Anna Wintour and we can see it clearly in the Maje fall 2012 campaign. Photographed by Glen Luchford at the Porte des Lilas metro station in Paris, Alexa demonstrates some of the most alluring pieces from the French label’s fall collection. The black and white photoshoot, which was taken early in the morning and perfectly evokes the ‘60s mood, will be launched in magazines in September. “It was really eerie down there, but it was really nice,” Chung said.
