Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2014 RTW – Paris Fashion Week

Are you the curious, smart, powerful and dominant type of woman? Well, this splash of modernity, dazzling colors, sophistication and subtle understanding to make trends can be the right choice for a dynamic and influential woman. The new Alexander McQueen spring/summer 2014 collection presented by creative Sarah Burton at Paris Fashion Week is there to amaze you with the innovative, artistic futuristic elements and interesting combinations of amusing and exotic outlines and unusually intriguing designs. The characters seem to have appeared on the stage from an alien movie, “The Gladiator” or just Dali’s and Juan Miro’s priceless paintings. The powerful, sophisticated, persuasive and just brilliant lady of tomorrow is on the catwalk today making the audience sigh for her originality and unlikeness.

The Alexander McQueen spring/summer 2014 collection has some elements from the traditional African embroidery, artistic details and decorative furs and ruffles. Another important element of the looks is the silver and gold helmets giving the models a cool appearance of missionaries to save the world. The experienced fashioner makes her comment on these on the backstage: “They’re sort of 1920s cloche hats. Mondrian and Picasso in the early 20th century.”
The impressive and sensational Plato’s Atlantis collection by Lee McQueen inspired Sarah to come up with the most artistic patterns and aesthetic details on the looks. The outlines are amazingly fragile and sensual.
The first arrival on the Alexander McQueen stage is a mixture of surreal and authentic styles: the short red skirt with heavy ruffles and a leather top gives the model a brave soldier look. The golden helmet completes the look making the outfit a more impressive and influential one. The simple cotton dresses with silver helmets remind you of the Hitler times and his guards. If you want to look stricter, this look might be the right choice for you.
