ASOS Launches An Affordable Bridal Line

ASOS has created a collection of white bridal gowns for the woman with a tight wallet for her big day. Weddings can be expensive, but you don’t always have to blow your budget in order to look gorgeous walking down the aisle. The highest priced dress in the ASOS bridal collection is £250, so it’s definitely on the lower side for bridal gowns. And the collection also includes bridal accessories and shoes. The collection will be released on ASOS’s website in April 2016, and there is a wide variety of silhouettes for women with different fashion senses.

ASOS Launches An Affordable Bridal Line

Many of the bridal dresses in this collection are more on the casual side, with simple shapes. Long, Grecian dresses are beautiful, and would look great floating down the aisle, but the overall silhouette could just as easily have been printed in another fabric and color to work as a spring/summer dress. This same concept goes for the strappy high-low dress.

In a similar fashion, the short wedding dresses with lace sleeves seem just as likely to be for the aisle as they would for a student’s winter formal. Granted, the dress would be equally stunning on both platforms. There’s a lot of draping and lace in the collection, which are classic elements for bridalwear, but in this collection it has been executed in an untraditional way.

There are definitely some unique looks in ASOS’s bridal collection, such as the off-white dress with the pattern of embellishments or the boho-chic floor length gown that slightly resembles a nightgown, which will be perfect for quirky women in the world today.

The brand is aiming for simple and clean silhouettes, with varying levels of character to benefit frugal brides of different walks of life, so none of the gowns are very formal in nature. If you’re looking for a classic bridal gown, then unfortunately you’ll have to look elsewhere, because this line is made for more casual weddings.

Since we know the price, and we know what dresses to expect when the ASOS bridal 2016 collection is released come spring, you can begin saving up now, if you know you want to snatch up one of these beautiful dresses for your big day, or perhaps even another formal event, since the dresses seem versatile. But of course you can’t forget about the accompanying accessories and shoes! You can plan your whole wedding day around looks on ASOS, and this collection is a great place to begin your search.

According to ASOS, you will be able to obtain a full bridal look for under £400. Not too shabby, I’d say! If you find your dream dress in this collection, your wallet and significant other will thank you.
