Alexander Wang continues working his magic for Balenciaga. For the Balenciaga pre-fall 2014 collection he focused on combining the youthful and revolting ideas of his with the all-time classics of Balenciaga, creating an array of top sophisticated and chic garments. The details and the overall looks of the combinations give away the principle of merging these two drives right away. Just add the highly technologized times’ influence of nowadays, and there you go with another perfect and creative collection. So this is exactly what Wang did here, and we’re just happy to see the results.
We can probably start our scrutiny with the combo of the knitted top with classic straight pants, having something manly about them, yet looking so chic. This is followed with a super stunning black and white dress having extremely body-con shapes, and spectacular stripy patterns.
The oversized looks, so typical of Wang’s style can’t but be here, too, presented with the duo of a black top with the stripy design of the skirt. The most extravagant looks are awaiting us further, as we see the incredible transformations of the leather top picked for the next look. Designing a duo of a leather black and white jacket with a leather straight skirt, Wang created a super creative silhouette for the former.
Mainly sticking to black and white, the pieces later expand to some more examples of the oversized drives for coats and tops, sometimes interrupted with minimalistic all-black top and pants pairs, and plays of grey like in case of a grey suit and pants duo, or the grey jacket matching white straight pants.
The synthesis of the catchy leather shapes with fur looks is also present in the Balenciaga pre-fall 2014 collection, mainly used for outerwear options like coats and jackets. Also, we may see the oversized motives for pants, too, matched with some spectacularly printed tops.
For the lovers of minimalistic vibes, Wang suggests an array of all black and black with grey looks, mainly made of outerwear again, and having nothing but interesting drapings and folds about them. The line is finished off with a super stunning black dress with a floor length design and long sleeves.
Thus, Wang once more magnificently accepts the challenge of presenting the never-dying Balenciaga looks at the same time not losing his own face, either. The Balenciaga pre-fall 2014 collection is the best and the loudest say proving that, and we absolutely love it!
