BDBA Fall/Winter 2015-2016 Collection

BDBA’s fall/winter 2015-2016 collection shows a range of styles for a variety of women, all while maintaining the brand’s classic bohemian edge. Their dresses range from loose and flowing to skintight and daring (and everything in between). In similar fashion, many of the separates looks show flowing tops with tight pants, shorts, or skirt.

Button-down shirts are a clear staple piece for BDBA’s fall/winter line, and they brought the bohemian oomph to bring everything together. The shirt is shown paired with miniskirts, tight pants, leather shorts, and even as a shirtdress. But the silhouette is definitely never boring. With different patterns, each look seems to have its own attitude. But with so many looks presented, there are definitely more than button-downs on the market for the fall/winter seasons. Simple tees are vital, as they can be paired nicely and easily with sweaters and coats interchangeably, so you can wear your button-downs in the cool autumn months, and have tops easier to layer for the chillier ones.

Fur and leather are clearly two standout fabrics used in coats. Each coat is impeccably made, with varying patterns of fur, as well as lamb leather. The designs feature standard, staple autumn colors (browns, reds, dark purples, blacks, and greys), but also incorporate bright blue, a much unexpected color choice for the season, but not an unwelcome one. The garments all hold cohesion in the bohemian inspiration, but there is clearly more than one age range the brand is targeting. Some of the dresses are clearly designed with bold young women in mind, namely the tight, strappy designs, while others are created for a more modest, possibly older woman, as with the floor length dresses with mesh used to cover the neckline and arms more.

The BDBA client is definitely a chic, modern woman, who wants to look stylish year round. She likely would have a new wardrobe for every season, and BDBA can cater to that. Even if it’s not your style to do a total wardrobe change-out for each season, there are pieces in the BDBA fall 2015 collection that could be versatile for any season.

Jackets and coats are pretty season-specific, but the tops and dresses especially could be translated to work for the warm months. The color pallet may be off in some cases for spring, with the shades of red in particular, but other colors, like the soft pinks and greys, could transfer nicely, especially when the fabrics used are so light and flowing.

BDBA has created a collection for fall 2015 that can guarantee a woman will look fabulous no matter what the occasion is. The brand clearly has trends in mind for the upcoming seasons, and created their garments in such a way that they can be more versatile than single-season use. Even though they can be worn year-round, that won’t stop clients from pouring back in for each new season.
