For the fall/winter months, Betty Barclay has created a comfortable, easy to wear collection for the everyday woman. With a variety of cozy sweaters, large scarves, and comfortable clothing, Betty Barclay’s fall 2015 line shows that you don’t have to sacrifice fashion for warmth (or vice versa). The Barclay woman is professional, while also not compromising her comfort – all of which while keeping a manageable budget for clothing.
There is also an allowance for sensuality on the brand’s agenda for the cold months. In particular, with a dress such as their three-quarter length sleeved dress that was shown as modest and professional from the waist up, until you reach the hemline, and more importantly, the zipper-slit. This concept seems so practical, and adds an unmistakable dimension of sex appeal to such a basic dress. The texture and print is definitely for this season, and even though this may not keep you the warmest, you’ll still look great walking the streets in this piece (Hey, I didn’t say you’d never sacrifice warmth for fashion). To combat the cold, however, this dress, just like the others in the collection, could easily be paired with one of the cozy sweaters or coats in the collection.
There are no glaring statement pieces in the Betty Barclay fall/winter 2015-2016 collection, but sometimes that’s the best way for fall clothing lines to go. When everything about the cold weather is screaming for comfort, familiar garments can serve as the best remedy. You can know the sweaters look great, and with the photography, they definitely exude a level of warmth that some over-the-top look couldn’t quite portray. This overall feeling is right on track with the brand’s aesthetic – keeping women looking fabulous, dressed for the right weather, and above all else keeping everything at a mid-ranged price set. This commercial brand is just what many women of the world look for in fall/winter apparel.
The cool tones of the pieces in the collection are so relaxing, and it’s not hard to see yourself in any one of the ensembles. Just looking through the pictures once is enough to know you would be set for the season if this collection were in your wardrobe now. Each model is photographed in such a way that the ready-to-wear garments seem extra homey. You can’t go wrong with a knit sweater.
Betty Barclay has made an everyday pencil skirt seem special to fall/winter, on top of making the look so easy to wear and comfortable, which is a remarkable feat. The look is so simple and basic, but with the vague flower print and rosy colors, the skirt is elevated, and since it’s paired with a taupe suede jacket, the look is cool, and very now.
The Betty Barclay fall 2015 collection displays a large coat variety. They present a quilted coat, a long pea coat, a down jacket, a light, cropped black coat, and even one that featured fur. These coats, along with the large amount of sweaters, make women prepared for any temperature. And of course you can’t forget the scarf!
