Brock Collection Wins the 2016 CFDA/ Vogue Fashion Fund

Wife and husband Laura Vassar Brock and Kristopher Brock have just set the bar higher for anyone who is looking for some cool relationship goals to embrace, as the fashionable couple won the 2016 CDFA/ Vogue Fashion Fund for their 2-year-old Brock Collection.

Brock Collection Wins the 2016 CFDA/ Vogue Fashion Fund

The CDFA/Vogue Fashion Fund announced its 10 finalist designers back in July, also reminding us of the fund’s worth: $400,000 to invest in business and a mentorship from CFDA members and Vogue editors, which is, indeed, good news for a two-year-old label that is already busy working towards success.

For the past 13 years, the CFDA/ Vogue Fashion Fund has always been a hotbed and a launchpad for fashion talents, with the previous winners including now big names in the industry, such as Proenza Schouler, Altuzarra, Thom Browne, Rodarte and Alexander Wang. To put it in other words, thus, Laura Vassar Brock and Kristopher Brock truly have the chance to grow their business stronger and become one of the industry’s next leading high fashion brand owners.

If you are not familiar with the label, Brock Collection is famous for its extremely clean-cut designs, as well as floral prints, which often lead the fashion couple to revisit the classics in a more cosmopolitan chic way.

Laura Vassar Brock and Kristopher Brock, who met while studying in one of the world’s most renowned universities in the world, namely Parsons School of Design in New York, got married two years ago, and have never stopped encouraging and supporting each other throughout their life and fashion path. You can find their ready-to-wear, elegant and urban collections on brocknewyork.com, as well as at famous fashion e-tailer sites, such as Moda Operandi.

As described by the CFDA members, Brock Collection “offers impeccably-fitting wardrobe staples with a focus on quality, a couture sensibility and an inherent appreciation for craftsmanship”.

Laura Vassar Brock and Kristopher Brock were not, however, the only ones who were awarded the coveted prize.

The CFDA/ Vogue Fashion Fund, the celebration of which was remarkable with big celebrities and personalities present from both the fashion and entertainment industry, funded other two labels with a grand total of $150,000 each. New Orleans-based eyewear label Krewe du Optic and fashion designer Adam Selman had therefore their time to shine too, and will surely wisely invest the funds in growing their labels.

As for the remaining 7 finalists, just being nominated as the CFDA/ Vogue Fashion Fund’s final 10 finalists gave them even more visibility worldwide, and they will surely benefit from it too. AREA, Rochambeau, Stampd, Ji Oh, Chloe Gosselin, NewbarK, and Morgan Lane are, in fact, all the names we will hear for a long, long time.
