Burberry Unveils Fall 2016 See-Now-Buy-Now Collection at London Fashion Week

Burberry has joined in with some of the top designers leaning towards bringing in more sales by having their collection available during the same season they are showcased on the fashion week runway shows, whether it be for spring or fall. In this case, the see-now-buy-now campaign applies to the Burberry fall 2016 fashions that are already available on Burberry.com, where Christopher Bailey brought to us some rather gorgeous pieces that we are definitely going to be donning as soon as we get our hands on them. This campaign is to be the future of the fashion industry and we are loving it with every fiber in our bodies we’ve got.

The Burberry fall 2016 see-now-buy-now collection featured on the London Fashion Week runway yesterday was inspired by Virginia Woolf’s forward-thinking novel following the tale of a gender-bending poet, titled Orlando: A Biography. The book was also placed on the seats of the attendees of the show at Makers House.

Just like in the book, the collection itself seemed to flit back and forth between the past and the present, bending gender stereotypes and combining Elizabethan era ruffled accordion detailing on shirt collars and miniature bags with shearling jackets and oversized sweatshirts. If the front row of the show was any indication of the people’s love for Burberry, we can be assured that everyone from the biggest stars to the average fashion lover was there; this includes Cara Delevingne, Felicity Jones and Freida Pinto among many others.

Burberry certainly managed to win the hearts of more fans with this particular collection, the mood of the lineup speaking to English drawing room elegance over the ages, particularly in the countryside, all seen through the eyes of Christopher Bailey, the label’s creative director. He is, by far, the master of reinvention. There was nothing not to love about the collection as a whole.

Good designers stand out and make it to the Fashion Week showcasing… the best are the ones that leave you begging for more. The masculine meets feminine effects of the professional and more flirtatious designs certainly made our day, while the silky looks on so many of the fabrics used appealed to all our senses with ease.

There was a whole lot of long sleeves, jackets and dresses, which suits the English fall weather just fine, while the skirt hems spanned from the mini to the midi and ended in the maxi, swishing around the legs in a sheer design towards the end. Sweaters are definitely a staple to invest in, while there is nothing more elegant than a dress that has a high neck and reaches the knee at just the right length, a belted coat pulled over for extra emphasis on the dress’s golden patterning.

With lots of accessories and some rather lovely and comfortable looking footwear in the mix, we know that Burberry’s new September 2016 collection that is available from this month will be a huge hit among those looking to jazz up their wardrobes last minute.
