Burberry Prorsum is about to present its brand new spring/summer collection campaign, introduced by a whole conglomeration of stars, like Malaika Firth, Matilda Lowther, Neelam Johal, Callum Ball, and Jean Campbell, who appear in the images accompanied by actor Jamie Campbell Bower and musician Leo Dobson. “There’s a distinctly English mood to this season – a gentle, effortless, romantic quality, brought to life by a cast of bright young British talent,” said Christopher Bailey, Burberry Chief Creative Officer about the Burberry Prorsum spring/summer 2014 line. The super popular and skillful photographer Mario Testino this time as well, did his best to create absolutely amazing campaign shots, the whole list of which will be available in January.
Campbell and Firth have been quite popular and much discussed this year. Being the daughter of former Vogue fashion editor Isabella Cawdor, Campbell has already been noticed in the October issue of British Vogue, created by Bruce Weber, and actually the Burberry Prorsum spring/summer 2014 campaign is her first-time-ever editorial. In case of Firth, however, we have a longer array of collabs, which apart from encompassing the numerous runway shows of the fashion giants she took part in, also include the Prada campaign, the cover of a Vogue supplement and the Victoria’s Secret runway show having taken place months ago.
Thus, this teamwork of young, energetic, and promising emerging stars is a very resourceful and cool choice by Burberry, the signature pieces of which seem to be especially well put and impressive with the looks of these handsome and cute youngsters. We are sure to see some of the most descriptive and peculiar signature pieces of Burberry here, but we are expecting to see some new and creative pieces, too. Matching all that with the bright and revoltingly young personalities, we are sure to get something special. So let’s wait and see the true fruits of this prospectively successful collaboration.
