Burberry Prorsum is definitely the most sought-after fashion house to unveil its collections at London Fashion Week, and it always manages to impress a lot every year. Inspired from British flowers and insects (That’s all about The Birds and The Bees), The Burberry Prorsum spring/summer 2015 collection has just been showcased, bringing a burst of bold and bright colors, new textures and artistic prints, which together pay tribute to nature. Christopher Bailey, as always, presented the most beautiful play of the classic trench, but also went further and flooded the runway with easy-breezy and bubbly dresses and separates for the most perfect days out. While everyone was looking to see Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne close the show, the two were seated in the front row, enjoying a piece of beautiful music and a wonderful show, which is sure to be talked about lots!
Along with a constellation of A-list models, It girls and celebrities, who adorned the front row at the show, London today also saw one of the most beautiful collections for the upcoming spring season. The Burberry Prorsum spring/summer 2015 collection hit the runway with all its splendor and the iconic British chic style, spiced up with modern touches that dazzled. It was a mixture of colors, textures, styles and moods, a wonderful symphony of movement brought to life through a range of delicate and airy fabrics.
From the very beginning of the show we saw Bailey’s desire to combine the traditional with the modern, presenting looks that featured casual denim pieces matched with uber-elegant and feminine garments made of lightweight fabrics and soothing colors, and finishing off the looks with the comfiest white tennis shoes with colorful soles. He gave lots of texture to those sophisticated pencil skirts and below-the-knee dresses by applying lots of pleats, frills and petals. The denim jackets were embellished with fluffy feather details, while the color palette was preserved in pastel hues, bringing dusty pinks and light yellows matched with whites.
Next the use of the pleated tulle became more frequent, and the colors got bolder, featuring raspberry, blueberry, blackberry and strawberry hues (it was such a juicy, fruity color palette!). The pleated tulle pieces were more see-through here, and oversized pleated tulle bows were added to the waists of the models to give more girlishness to the outfits. Some looks still featured creative short jackets topping the transparent tops and put in lively hues.
Immediately after this, the Burberry Prorsum spring/summer 2015 collection brought the spectrum of artistically printed trenches in bright colors, which looked so Burberry and so chic! They were matched with even more colorful tennis shoes and some looks also featured comfy flat sandals in vibrant colors. Some trenches were monochrome, yet color-blocked, also featuring different textures, like suede combined with patent leather. There was also a statement-making denim trench with patent leather oversized front pockets and a beautiful tulle bow belt.
Lot of prints and subtle ombre effects defined the following flowing dresses and skirts featuring high slits and looking so summery. There were actually tons of layered tulle dresses and heavily pleated and frilled ones, which looked utterly romantic and breathtaking. Although the Burberry Prorsum spring/summer 2015 collection didn’t bring evening gowns, hardly any floor-length dress could compete with these airy cocktail dresses with their beauty and charm!
From the beginning of the show up to the end, we saw only comfy colorful tennis shoes and sporty flat sandals, when it comes to the footwear. Some looks also features printed clutches and bags put in the same bold shades. The models’ makeup was fruity too, featuring raspberry lips and a glowing face, while the hair was left effortless and loose.
Whether you are on the hunt for the perfect summer cocktail dress or a beautiful outerwear for spring, the Burberry Prorsum spring/summer 2015 collection has a lot of charming options to offer you! Moreover, the collection has also all your day-to-day outfit cravings covered, also providing you with endless inspiration when it comes to chic accessorizing and beauty options!
