Topless ladies. British ideals. World-renowned brand. The Burberry fashion house is celebrating big time for spring 2016, with the largest array of top British models cast on one campaign. Obviously, the spring is expected to be extremely warm for the women appearing throughout the collection’s shoot are devoid of a few pieces of clothing, with only top Burberry scarves, particularly those with the signature plaid added to the zebra look, covering up the chests and offering some modicum of decency. The brand has definitely moved to an edgier appeal, with the British effects really doing us in. It is impossible not to fall in love with Burberry, but when we noticed the top models appearing among the bunch presenting the latest collection, we cannot help but drool a little.
One of the best things about the Burberry spring 2016 ad campaign was the inclusion of the Bell sisters, celebrity offspring that have turned to fashion modelling, Ruth and May, who are beyond magnificent in their looks and fashion understanding. Overall, there were 11 up and coming models showcased here, bringing the roving eyes to the rising stars of the industry. This was not the first time such a thing had happened either, those definitely not on as big of a scale.
For fall, there was Keith Richards’ granddaughter we all know as Ella Richards, along with Brit actress Holliday Granger. This spring we have a few surprises in store as Pierce Brosnan’s son Dylan Brosnan, the 18-year-old, who has become a heartthrob for the youthful population and who gained major attention after appearing at Saint Laurent in 2014, Ben Gregory, Louie Johnson and Bella Yentob join in with Eliza Fairbanks, Misha Hart, Liam Gardner, Sol Gross, Hayett Belarbi McCarthy and others to appear in the full campaign that features 40 different images and will be all over, in print and on billboards, online and over social media channels, looking positively fantastic. The looks will be seen throughout the first six months of the year, starting from January and spanning into June.
We have to mention that aside from the 11 models it is featuring, the Burberry spring 2016 campaign brings in a new backpack, which is essentially a nylon gabardine rucksack with leather trim that was for sale during the fashion show. The models seem to have loved working with Mario Testino and Christopher Bailey and it is clear that Burberry is doing incredible in the fashion world, rising in the ranks and always coming up with a little tweak or two that turns a campaign fully around. We love seeing it all and are more than happy to have designers understand the importance of local talents.
