The Italian brand Byblos Milano was founded by brothers Arnaldo and Sergio Girombelli and having entered the fashion industry with their clothing lines for men, today the fashion house keeps on fascinating the whole fashion world with every new seasonal collection, now both for men and women. The designs produced by the Italian brand have always been known for their originality and charm. It is said that Byblos is a unique blend of different styles, textures and fabrics. Durability, charm and paying attention to every little detail are what make the brand one of the most demanded Italian brands in the world. For its designs, the brand uses denim, cashmere, silk, leather and suede. Cardigans, sweaters, blouses, skirts and pants are among the favorite pieces of the brand. All these characteristic features surely apply to the newest Byblos Milano spring/summer 2015 collection too!
Being based in a city, which is truly the heart of the Italian fashion, Byblos Milano had its comely place at this year’s Milan Fashion Week. The Byblos Milano spring/summer 2015 collection was exquisitely detailed, every pattern, every line done with utter care. The color palette featured almost all the colors of rainbow, but the main “color philosophy” presented by the Italian brand featured the scheme “black+white+bright color”. In the first few designs, which, by the way, were heavily patterned with web-like patterns, black and white were combined with orange. As a color combination, it turned out to be rather fresh and easy on the eye. We were dazzled to see the long textured zip up jackets in white with black patterns, which were worn over little white shorts, shorter jackets in the same pattern paired with black leather miniskirts, high waisted white pants with leathery orange vests and so on.
The looks became much livelier with the addition of blue to the outfits that followed: a blue textured tube like maxi dress was paired with an orange tank top, white shorts with blue form fitting tops were topped with what appeared to be a sleeveless coat in brownish orange and blue, high waisted black pants with side stripes in blue and orange were complimented with a white short sleeve zip up jacket with blue hems and so on. For more womanly pieces, the designer had created an array of meticulously detailed dresses. We had a black and orange accordion dress of a see-through fabric with a very interesting neckline, patterned orange maxi skirts paired with white jackets, shorter skirts in black and white geometric prints, pale yellow dresses with small patches of black around shoulders.
The colors got even brighter somewhere in the middle of the Byblos Milano spring/summer 2015 collection show, when a unique color mix of orange and a darker shade of pink started to adorn the dresses. The looks created were bright, sunny and so summery! Dresses with side slits and deep necklines appeared at the end of the show and they were unique proves of the designers skill to created the most diverse of patterns on one single fashion piece. The patterns had some touch of “ethnicity” in them, although we can’t name the whole collection ethnic.
If we were to say one word to describe the Byblos Milano spring/summer 2015 collection, it would be unique (with the modern touch). It has it all to make you look like a trendsetter in the upcoming spring season!
