Cara Delevingne continues her collaboration with British brand Topshop starring in the newest Topshop spring/summer 2015 campaign shot by Alasdair McLellan, where the ‘70s fashion is the protagonist trend. Looking rather relaxed and carefree, this campaign of Topshop manages to demonstrate diverse styles and trends meant to perfect your day-to-day and nighttime looks in the new season. The way the pieces have been mixed and matched is no less creative, which is yet another aspect that makes the new Topshop lookbook that spectacular. This is Cara’s third appearance as Topshop’s model and she manages to inject her signature effortlessly cool style into the 15 looks presented.
Gone are the days when you have to spend an entire fortune to be able to copy the season’s catwalk trends and create standout looks. The vast diversity of the pieces offered by high street retailers makes dressing fashionably possible for any budget. Thus the new Topshop spring 2015 collection embraces the season’s hottest trend – the Seventies, bringing affordable and cool pieces that will help you build up a stylish and covetable spring wardrobe in an instance. Putting a big stress on casual styles, the British brand brings back such mainstream trends as denim on denim, the little black dress, skinny jeans and leather jackets.
The little black dress Cara wore last November during the opening of a new Topshop store in New York is definitely the queen of the entire Topshop spring 2015 collection. Now, you can copy the famous supermodel’s style paying not more than 50 pounds to own this timeless staple with a halter neckline and sexy side slits. Wear it with a pair of black heeled sandals and get ready to radiate modern minimalism, which is also ultra elegant and feminine.
Denim is the next important trend spotted in the campaign. We discover vintage style jean shorts, skinny jeans, ripped chambray shirts (forget about the ripped jeans and go for ripped denim shirts instead to make a bigger style statement) and Seventies style bellbottom jeans that come matched with a lovely lace trim white blouse and a sleeveless tailored jacket.
The interesting combinations of the pieces meant to create lovely contrasts are also worth admiration. Especially cool looks the oversized leather biker jacket with prints matched with a delicate lingerie-style black lace crop top, a pair of vintage denim shorts, finished off with a leather western belt, a tassel necklace and a printed scarf. At first sight the combination may look quite impossible, however, it does create a unique casual chic look that will turn you into a real trendsetter.
Talking of the girliest pieces available in the collection, we should first of all mention the daisy print shirt dress that comes accessorized with track sole platform sandals. The delicate lace trim white top and the lace-up white dress are also iconic pieces for creating stylish feminine looks. Other than that, we also love the simplistic white crop top, the sporty chic white jumpsuit matched with metallic platform sandals and the khaki military-inspired suit. As the Topshop spring/summer 2015 campaign suggests, dressing in the Seventies style this summer can be definitely easy and cool!
