Carine Roitfeld Launches 2nd Uniqlo Collection

Within the bounds of the fashion industry, Carine Roitfeld is easily one of the most diverse renaissance women in the business. With her former work as a fashion editor, stylist, model, writer and founder of CR Fashion Book, this woman is a true icon of this fashion era. It’s no secret that the woman knows how to dress herself, and this detail has since elevated the fashionista to a status as an icon. And what’s better is that the woman can use her expertise to design clothes to share her fashion knowledge with everybody else. When her first capsule collection with Uniqlo was announced in April, we were thrilled with the unexpected nature, and now we are ecstatic to hear of the second Carine Roitfeld x Uniqlo collection, which will be a continuation, of sorts, of the first.

In this line, we can see sultry workwear that hints back to Roitfeld’s days as editor-in-chief of Paris Vogue and her roots from being born in the French city. Since she has achieved such a high level of success in her professional life, it seems it should be second nature for her to decide a line for other women to wear in their own fields of work. If we can’t look to her for professional fashion advice, then there’s no one else to turn to. This faith does not go unrewarded, since we have been given another line of ready-to-wear clothes fit for any woman.

There is a lot of black in the Carine Roitfeld for Uniqlo 2016 collection, with some camo thrown in for good measure. This all contributes to the apparel’s distinct wearability, and also to the clear military theme that shows up in both the structure and prints of the garments. With the brief sneak peek that was released, it became easy to see how the clothes will be for an on-the-go businesswoman, who needs easy clothes as she goes about her day.

And especially since this is round two for this collaboration, we know the collaborators are on good terms with one another. If the fabulous end result isn’t enough to tell you that, seeing that there’s going to be more coming from the first line is just what you’ll need to convince you. Of course, there’s going to be a bit of a wait before we can see the new line hit stores. February 11 will mark the official debut day for the line that you can shop on Uniqlo.com, and there’s likely going to be a mass group of people waiting for the moment the garments are hung on the racks.

The immense popularity of the first round, although the specific numbers weren’t given, makes it likely for the second round to be even more popular. There will be a following for this specific collaboration, and everyone will have astronomical expectations for this collection – of course, we have no doubts here that these expectations will be met and exceeded, especially knowing that Carine Roitfeld is at the helm.
