Beautiful, ethereal, positively stunning… these are words, which easy describe Carolina Herrera collections as there is just something so very angelic about the way she pulls together the chiffon and tulle, the lace and guipure on all her different line-ups; this includes ready-to-wear, couture and bridal. The latter is generally our very favorite.
Pieces by Carolina Herrera generally have a fluttering effect, adding to the colonial beauty of it all, showing off wealth in a more demure manner, free of extremities and riffraff. There is just something that screams Old Wealth instead of New Money, something her designs capture incredibly well. As such, it is no surprise that the Carolina Herrera spring 2016 campaign has a similar effect on us, giving us a glimpse into the fun aspects of noble fashion and style.
With sprawling lawns and beautiful villas in the background, long pools threatening to swallow up the men, extremely well-manicured gardens to stand about in, we can say this is a very tasteful campaign shoot indeed! The photoshoot in of itself was made on the lawn of an estate in Spain overlooking the Mediterranean, the campaign itself mixing up pieces from the Carolina Herrera New York and CH Carolina Herrera collections, putting on display both men’s and women’s apparel.
Sandals with straps wound around the ankles look positively delectable, while the whole flimsy shirtdress over miniskirt appeal totally gets to us. The advertising campaign is being overseen by Mario Testino, where each of the photos shot represents the strength of the brand itself. There is an idea of connectedness the campaign is being built on, with models Lily Aldridge and Romee Strijd, both who walked for the label in September during Fashion Week, becoming the faces of the ads for spring 2016.
It is all about modern femininity here, with Strijd standing about in a grey cloud silk faille embroidered top and skirt, definitely not as fluttery as the sheer blush rose trench gown with a techno fabric applique skirt, and looking positively grand.
The Carolina Herrera spring 2016 campaign is expected to take to the stands in February through the month’s domestic and international fashion and lifestyle publications, while you will also be seeing quite a bit of it on social media. It is certainly one of our very favorite campaign releases and we greatly are enjoying the whole Jack Russell versus gorgeous male model Emilio Panchari fun in Spain look that Testino has going on. It is by far the most amusing of collection campaigns yet and we simply cannot wait to see what it looks like in print!
Angelic, Old Wealth, simple beauty and full-fledged femininity… yes, we can certainly find the right words to describe the Carolina Herrera spring 2016 campaign perfectly…
