Celine Spring/Summer 2015 Collection – Paris Fashion Week

Paris Fashion Week spring 2015 continues shaping the best spring 2015 fashion trends for women, launching super-striking and personality-filled collections, each of which will definitely find its fan soon, if they haven’t yet. The Celine spring/summer 2015 collection also joins the big cavalcade of trendsetting fashion lines for spring, bringing its exquisite and gentle style for the fans of the sophisticated and minimalist. Phoebe Philo managed to redefine and revamp the always charming and winning simplistic style, delivering a collection that is highly inspiring, empowering and modern. From the wisely chosen color palette, perfect shapes and sharp tailoring to the tiny playful details that had a great impact on the overall beautiful style of the collection, every single aspect of this line deserves special attention and admiration.

The beautiful color palette certainly had its role in making the Celine spring/summer 2015 collection such a charming line. We saw lots of cream, black, white, navy blue, bottle green and sapphire blue shades, which were at time interrupted by pops of invigorating lemon and fuchsia. Keeping the simplistic mood on, Philo presented mostly monochrome looks, where the interesting play with textures and details took the leading roles. However, we also saw spring’s flower power, as in the middle of the show the models walked down the runway wearing boldly floral printed dresses and two-pieces, which looked so romantic and so Celine.
Philo also showed her skill of using scissors, bringing designs with unexpected cut-outs and altered lines that gave a modern feel to the designs. Some slight color blocking notes and lovely fringe details joined shiny fabric patches and waist-accentuating belts in various styles, clearly shaping the iconic Celine style for spring. The focus on the coat styles was also obvious throughout the show, as we saw the array of coatdresses and outerwear options put in versatile color shades and using both unconventional and classic shapes.

The show opened with a creative duo of a simple structured short-sleeved top and a pair of capri pants with fringed hems. Later we saw the same fringe hems decorating the minimalist below-the-knee straight sleeveless dresses, also a cream tunic with side circle cut-outs. High-waisted flared trousers, sharp tunics, flowing tops, skirts and dresses are other charming pieces we witnessed at the show.
We were literally blown away by the rich range of figure-enhancing coats cut at different lengths and using lovely belts and front pockets in slightly contrasting hues. Some designs were adorned with chain belts with lovely charms that looked so effective, announcing the emergence of a new spring trend.
No less spectacular were those accessorizing options presented, especially the curious bags and the super-flat and mid-height leather shoes. In the big range of spring 2015 fashion lines, the Celine spring/summer 2015 collection manages to reserve its special place with its extremely simple style that came like a breath of fresh air!
