There is hardly anyone on Earth, who has not heard of the famous French fashion house Chanel. It is one of the most iconic fashion “factories” that always directs people to the world of high fashion and style. This year we have already had the chance to admire Chanel’s fine collections of spring, summer and fall. Now time has come for a sensation – the Chanel Couture fall/winter 2015-2016 collection named the “Cercle Privé” that has just been showcased alongside the launch of fine jewelry pieces from Mr. Lagerfeld. We have been looking forward to this exquisite show for so long and it has finally taken place, again full of surprises. Every time after a Chanel runway show one thinks there can be no more surprising events like that ever again. However, that proves to be a mistake! Karl Lagerfeld is never short of ideas for the amazing clothing and storming performances. This time things are more dramatic than possible: the runway hall of Grand Palais is turned into an Art Deco inspired casino – Chanel Casino to be more precise! Yes, you have heard right – a real casino with all slot machines, tables for cards, Black Jack and Poker, the fabulous lights and, of course, famous guests from gentry and celebrity! Ready for another boom? Kristen Steward and Julianne Moore are among the important “gamblers” at the middle table.
Now that the movie scene of million dollars is created, the show launches! Models with red lips and dramatic short bobs are coming out in turn, demonstrating gorgeous garments mostly made from Chanel’s most preferred material – tweed. The many ensembles of knee-long skirts or dresses with suits seem so perfect being best couture pieces to wear in not too crazy occasions of life. The nostalgic feel of most loved Coco Chanel Hollywood movies is recreated in such a breathtaking way with all the surroundings and Coco’s key parts of looks. The Chanel Couture fall 2015 collection is filled with reserved, chic elegance by staying majestic without showing a lot of skin. We are stunned by the white brick-patterned ensemble trimmed by gold-bronze lace on the edges of the skirt, suit, sleeves and the area of pockets on the suit. Or just look how amazing the dark blue dress is combined with coat of the same hue and length! The several checked dresses with suits of the same fabric are never-getting-old pieces of clothing, which, though belonging to heute couture, can become an important part of any stylish woman’s wardrobe.
White seems to be a color meant for the richest and most fashionable ladies. We are more than convinced of it after being left jaw-dropped by the white suits and dresses and the sumptuous outfit of classic suit and trousers that served as the closing attribute of the thundering show. Lacque pullover looks amazing when combined with white O-shape skirt and round scarf from the same fabric. Next to whites come silvers with such radiant items as the silver knee-long dress with straight boat neck, the excellent costume of silver skirt and wide top blouse that has this rattling handwork with an incredible amount of white and black stones. Of course, we could not pass by the tender dresses of light green and lily colors that show the utmost smoothness of a luxurious look. The glittery orange-brown dress with open decollate shows the model’s figure at its best.
How could we imagine couture without crazy solutions and mind-blowing garments? The long three-fourth-sleeve white and gold dress is wholly made of torn pieces of fabric, which probably demanded a mad amount of time. As if looking at us from the pages of a fashion catalogue, the models were walking majestically in dresses ornamented with feather, sequins and glitter. The black floor-length guipure dress with white collar and silver buttons could be a royal garment, which would only enhance a queen’s majesty with its reserved, elegant and luxurious character.
Overall, a lot of attention to detailed work was paid in the Chanel Couture fall 2015 collection. Taking their time the designers embroidered whole garments with impossibly fine small stones, trimmed the edges of dresses and skirts with thin tapes and laces. The straight strict shoulders of the suits and black eccentric medium-height-heel shoes with open backs are also a well-remembered key point of the collection. We now adore Chanel even more once again feeling the true sense of couture and high fashion.
