You think it’s unique? Or maybe ultra-glamorous? Probably you suspect that this should be something like a macro fashion earthquake in Paris? In any of these cases, you’re absolutely right! The new Chanel spring/summer 2014 collection, recently shocking and stunning the runway of Paris Fashion Week, will be commented on and discussed for quite a long time. The record-breaking number of pieces introduced during this show, created by talented and creative Karl Lagerfeld, provides the collection with fertile soil to demonstrate all the varieties of concepts and shapes one can imagine. It seems like we’re dealing with a whole ready-to-wear ‘garde de robe’ of a girly, capricious and feminine lady.
The conceptual background of the Chanel spring/summer 2014 collection is the essence of art and its specific relationship and reflections in fashion. “The idea came from people who overreact to art today. It’s all become a little too much,” said Lagerfeld about this.
This line includes everything you need from stylish garments to the minor details. The apparels include such combinations as jacket and skirt pairs, followed by loosely made pants and skirts, as well as full skirts and sleeveless pieces, being so diverse, yet so powerfully awesome. The one shoulder sumptuous dresses are among the most glamorous looks of the show.
The specific Halloween-ready makeup of the models makes the outfits even more amazing and vivid. Lace, beadwork, and sequins don’t let the delicate work slip away from the line. The cropped tops and pants stand for the cool part of the collection. The super cute handbags and accessories having the “Chanel” logo via Cs on necks and handbags don’t let us forget the owner of this wonder.
Finally it’s the color palette itself that has been literally printed on some of the garments, looking iridescent and simply fantastic! The impression we get from these outfits is something more than just unforgettable and stunning. So it’s Chanel time and the show MUST go on!
