We have already entered the month of November and the temperatures have been taking a nosedive, down to the negatives at night. This may not be the case in some warmer climates, but over half the world is reaching for coats that will keep them warm during the day and bundling up in even cosier items come nightfall. If you’re still out shopping for the best coats, here are some great options for you!
Hearts and Spades
You thought only the queen of hearts could be wearing something so dramatic? A fur coat with the different suits most definitely reminds us of Alice in Wonderland but we are certainly not getting ready for an execution after a game of croquet. It’s interesting, it’s chic in design without any added poof and it adds a touch of vibrancy to the winter weather.
Midnight colors are beautiful, especially on soft cashmere coats that look both stylish and protect us from the wind, effectively keeping us warm in the milder winter weather. Combining it with darker blue hues in outfit only makes the look all the more attractive, blending us in with the darker colors of our surroundings.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, especially when it comes to hairy beasts, but we rather like this trendsetting fashion, where we can be warm and look like a more delicate version of Big Foot at the same time. Best of all, the coat is long enough to cover over buttocks and reaches mid-thigh, adding to the protection against the elements.
Knits with Slits
Nothing says it’s time for the holidays better than wearing knits and colorful soft-toned knit coats are definitely the style to rock this season. The long pieces reach the knees, are best worn unbuttoned and have slits up the sides to add to the flare of the masterpiece. Leather outfits and ankle boots with a furry purse to top it off make for the best combination yet.
Longer quilted coats are a common staple of the winter months, but they look all the better when they pass the knees in length, and are as beautiful a light blue as the summer skies. The orange accents only add to the appeal of this particular coat as seen in the streets and we love the midi skirt that keeps the legs covered underneath. Of course, pumps matching the coat have us falling in love with this girl’s impeccable fashion sense.
Somehow animal skin always seems to have us looking splendidly ready and stylish while the temperatures dip under freezing. The addition of animal print hats with the pretty colored furs, along with colorful leather bag designs completes the wild look, as if we wear nature herself to defy the winds of change.
Animal printed furry vests are all the rage now as well, particularly in regions where the negative temperatures haven’t yet arrived to, or ever will. Instead, these sleeveless beauties look great with darker or printed sweater, with chunkier gold colored jewellery adding to the appeal. It’s a wild ride on the wild side, all right!
The sun might be just a figment of our imaginations for a while come next month, as he decides to nap behind white clouds that bring down flurries, snow and hail, sometimes with a softer touch, and often in a fury. A yellow coat brings a splash of color back into town, while a military look reminds us that we must be tough and weather the storm, for at the end of the battle, the sun will shine once again.
Banish the Dreary
We know it’s hard to keep staring at blues, beiges, black and grey colors, so we certainly cannot help but covet the intense reds and less conventional winter colors. The yellow may bring the sun, but this particular red reminds us of fall, when the trees just begin to change color, bringing warmth into the otherwise dreary atmosphere.
