The Chloe spring/summer 2015 collection has just taken Paris Fashion Week by storm with its bohemian, romantic and airy designs, so ideal for the bright season to come! It was a show drenched in summer breeze, a laid-back carefree style that is also super-feminine and elegant. Bringing mainly dress styles in various lengths, but also stylish separates composed of cute mini skirts and short shorts, the Chloe spring 2015 collection showed its aspiration to make spring and summer dressing effortless, easy and beautiful. Clare Waight Keller managed to preserve the iconic Chloe style, at the same time bringing modern designs that will appeal to any fashioniser, who appreciate the boho-chic and romantic style in fashion.
From the very first look demonstrated, the Chloe spring/summer 2015 collection did manage to penetrate into our heart and mind, making us long for those flowy designs. The opening look clearly shaped the basic style inclination of the entire line, bringing a lovely laser-cut white crochet mini strappy dress with an open back, which carried notes of the slip dress merged with bohemian attitude. The same style and design elements had been applied to yet another white dress, which was short-sleeved and had cute side pockets. Immediately here the show presented other key colors used in the collection, being the burnt mustard and navy blue, which were later joined by blacks, blush pinks, light blues and browns.
Instead of using spring’s popular prints and patterns, Keller played with textures and fabrics, making those monochrome pieces utterly desirable and special. We saw lots of denim, crochet, lace, tweed, silk and chiffon, all of which managed to look extremely summer worthy and relaxed. In addition, she used lots of intricate details, such as laser cuts, zips, oversized eyelet cuts, chain motifs and airy flowing shapes, joined with super-thin straps for the majority of the mini and floor-length dresses and breathtaking backless designs.
In line with lots of summery dresses and see-through tops, the Chloe spring/summer 2015 collection also brought pretty smart and elegant designs, like that zip-up tweed mini dress or the combo of the tweed tailored shorts and a tweed blazer worn over a classic navy blue shirt. We also saw vintage-style denim pieces, including the overall with big pockets, the cute shorts and the dress with the same design elements.
The play with textures also brought us uber-killer suede dresses, combos of shorts and jackets and much more. They never looked heavy and carried lovely elegant motifs fused with casual vibes. Still, it was the array of flowing chiffon designs that brought the iconic Chloe style to the catwalk: the tops were long-sleeved mostly, which were oversized and flowing, and the dresses featured thin straps and rounded V-necks, carrying asymmetric motifs and slight layering and pleating. Some of those dresses with adorned with chain details on the front top part, revealing more skin, yet looking so sophisticated and feminine.
The Chloe spring/summer 2015 collection impressed not only in terms of stunning casual wear, office wear and eveningwear attire options, but also the gorgeous accessories used to make those looks that vibrant and complete. We saw uber-tiny reptile skin and colorful leather bags, lace-up summer booties on heels, as well as flat strappy sandals that instantly found their special places in our big spring 2015 wishlists. The models’ makeup was kept to a minimum, and the hair was left loose, relaxed and natural, quite matching the overall mood created.
It’s extremely hard not to fall in love with the magically chic Chloe spring/summer 2015 collection! So if you are a hopeless fashion addict and love the romantic style, this is the best place to start revamping your spring 2015 wardrobe!
