Custo Barcelona’s Spring/Summer 2017 RTW Line Unveiled Way More

Custo Barcelona’s spring 2017 ready-to-wear collection is titled “Way More” and the aesthetics certainly live up to the title. There are way more prints, way more color and way more unexpected ensembles than many of the other lines showing during the spring 2017 New York Fashion Week. So many pieces had a great amount of eye-catching details, which made for an interesting and appealing show. No one expected anything less than a visual smorgasbord of colors and details from designer Custo Dalmau.

The wide array of bright and beautiful clothing options included clothes for both men and women. Some of the more exciting pieces in the Custo Barcelona spring 2017 collection were also a bit hard to explain.

For example, there were interesting culottes with a plastic sheen and see through appearance that appeared to be the same color of dark grey storm clouds and another set in a shimmering color somewhere between gold and copper. This description hardly does these daring pants any justice; suffice it to say that they were interesting to look at. Fishnet and see through dresses and shirts found their way in both men’s and women’s ensembles.

There is no shortage of great and intriguing pieces with this Custo Barcelona 2017 collection and anyone with even a single piece of this collection in their wardrobe is sure have great style. There was nothing taboo in these looks because everything was beautifully well done, even the menswear looks that showed off shorts with socks and sandals. All things considered, the addition of socks and sandals added to the fun and carefree feel of this collection.

Bralettes featuring bold embroidery were as welcome on this runway as the sheer detailed jackets and tops. New perspectives and pattern prints were a huge part of the fashions in this show. An air of the unexpected is what we anticipate from Custo Dalmau’s talented mind and no one was disappointed with the display of fashion forward daringness that was displayed in the Custo Barcelona spring/summer 2017 RTW collection.

Some of the looks featured crochet in pieces that would rarely if ever have this style feature, let alone in such a bold manner. Tropical prints and colors ranging from bright and bold to muted and subtle are coordinated perfectly in this breathtaking collection. Strong embroidered designs were seen on so many different pieces but each design seared itself into memory as they were all beautifully done.

Look 32 of the Custo Barcelona spring 2017 line-up is an exciting dress that is truly alluring from every angle thanks to cut-out embroidered circles, interesting lines, odd pattern mashups and beautifully coordinating shades of grey, cream, blue, purple and black.

This collection featured everything from work-ready clothing options to beach and pool wear. Some pieces were substantially more risqué than others, but every piece had a sense of daring and inexcusable, unapologetic style that was exciting.
