We Wore What’s Danielle Bernstein Launches Own Line of Overalls

Cult fashion blogger Danielle Bernstein is finally launching her own line of overalls, dubbed Second Skin, to the pleasure of those who have been religiously drawing inspiration from her We Wore What blog ever since she began giving us pieces of (fashion) advice in 2011.

Second Skin Overalls: We Wore What's Danielle Bernstein Launches Own Line of Overalls

Originally created as a street style blog that aimed at providing “a daily dose of outfit inspiration from every corner of NYC”, Danielle Bernstein’s We Wore What quickly rocketed into the international top-20 fashion bloggers’ chart, as both her own unique style and the way she unconventionally approaches fashion as a whole is yet to be imitated. Seldom seen in pictures, Danielle Bernstein meticulously analyzes every clothing piece she wears, translating and adjusting the outfits to her moods and feelings of the day.

That’s also why, as soon as she announced her new venture under the name of Second Skin Overalls on her main social media accounts, her followers instantly ran amok (she can count on a grand total of more than 1.4 million of followers on Instagram alone!).

“Get ready for @secondskinoveralls (follow for updates),” cryptically captioned Danielle on Instagram, tagging what is going to be the label’s official Instagram account. Although many fans are still begging for more information, Danielle is keeping her lips religiously sealed, leaving us with only a brand new website, secondskinoveralls.com, and a catching picture that makes us hope for a full-on Seventies-inspired kind of collection.

Both Who Wore What’s icon Danielle and the model featured in the picture are wearing bell-bottom, curve-hugging overalls, which indeed look like a (denim-made) second skin. For those who have been following Danielle around for a while now, such a die-hard passion for overalls isn’t that surprising: the blogger has often publicly shared her obsession with overalls, and that she considers them as her second skin for sure.

As for her skills in fashion designing per se, we shouldn’t be worried at all. Bernstein’s curriculum counts on solid collaborations, such as those with Topshop and Onia, for which she has created a few London Fashion Week-approved outfits and a brand new capsule collection of swimwear respectively. As for the latter, this venture helped both Onia’s founders and Who Wore What’s creator to focus on minimal styles and top-notch quality materials, the results of which went available for purchase earlier this summer.

Like her new project, Second Skin Overalls, we expect Bernstein’s first-ever fashion line to harmoniously combine a minimalistic, urban-chic style with high quality materials and designs, with an overall attitude that directly draws inspiration from Bernstein’s own long journey in the fashion industry.

Danielle Bernstein’s own line of overalls is about to launch in fall 2016. Stay tuned for updates!
