We all know that accessories are the most important pieces in a woman’s wardrobe, yet few of us know that smile is the biggest and best accessory we all have. Diane von Furstenberg opted exactly for this accessory to make her models look drop-dead gorgeous at New York Fashion Week, while presenting the fabulous Diane von Furstenberg fall/winter 2013-2014 collection. And while big smiles came to instantly cheer the audience up, the gorgeous rock ‘n’ roll glamorous Diane von Furstenberg dresses were the center of the attention with all their charm and elegance.
For her fall fashion show, Diane von Furstenberg created a disco mood in the seventies style on the runway, casting a collection that was inspired by her own life and David Bowie’s, when he was young. The Diane von Furstenberg fall/winter 2013-2014 collection goes back to the roots of the luxurious fashion house, and it totally evokes, as she said, “the girl I used to be”. She definitely used to be and is a powerful and glamorous woman, who strongly believes that “your clothes are your friends.” “DVF has always been about effortless and easy,” she told WWD during a preview. “It’s the dress to get laid in and it’s the dress to get the job in. It’s the dress that closes the deal.”
The Diane von Furstenberg fall/winter 2013-2014 collection brings Seventies glamour and DVF elegance through iconic styles describing the brand’s heritage and fabulous dresses Diane herself loved to wear and which she now loves you to don and feel gorgeous in them. There are luxurious disco-ready bronze lame blouses, gold leather pants, high-waisted pencil skirts and blazers, transparent black blouses with golden leaves imprinted all over, flirty dresses and to-die-for fox-collared outerwear.
She also brought some of her early prints, including animal motifs and chain prints. And when it comes to the color palette, think attention-grabbing metallics, cobalt blues, caramel, brown, red, burgundy, turquoise, black, white, pink and purple.
With its mesmerizing designs and the amazing glam-rock mood, the Diane von Furstenberg fall/winter 2013-2014 collection comes to prove that life is wonderful and glamorous, just like DVF herself!
