Diesel Black Gold Spring/Summer 2013 RTW – New York Fashion Week

Bringing sexy black and white clothes and sporty vibes, the Diesel Black Gold brand showcased its signature style during New York Fashion Week. The Diesel Black Gold spring/summer 2013 show was opened by Maria Bradley in a sexy white leather mini featuring a large belt and a buttoned up white shirt and a long black jacket, while Julia Nobis came to summarize the lineup wearing a pair of skinny pants, a white mono jacket and a shirt. Overall, the designs were bold and the catwalk was flooded with mini skirts and dresses and oversized leather jackets. In between there were also some dresses demonstrated with square cut outs, sheer and leather dresses and trousers with neon accents.

The line sheet read: “Urban skate parks, 90′s fashion imagery, and the eclectic dress sense of creative city dwellers inspired Sophia Kokosalaki to design a collection that merges the adrenalin-driven world of skateboarding with the poise and sophistication of the contemporary art scene.”
Backstage, Sophia Kokosalaki confessed that she didn’t want the references to be literal, and thus the first part of the Diesel Black Gold spring/summer 2013 collection was all about the brand’s distinctive style with sharply tailored and military style jackets, some miniskirts and lots of leather. Overall, the collection was extremely wearable and standout, filled with lots of bold and sexy vibes.
