This is the best variant of petrifying beauty you’ve ever seen! Going on with the peculiar theme of dark motives, Spanish brand Diksi presents the next conceptual interpretation “Vampirela, the dark beauty” introduced as the Diksi fall/winter 2013-2014 collection. Looking through the video introduction and the lookbook images, it’s the 60s’ popular vampire movies by Hammer films that appear in front of our eyes. The scary stories about Count Dracula follow them right away.
The most interesting thing about these Diksi pieces is the stunning retro-vintage touch, which acts as a nice way of putting the mysterious themes forth. Thus, this widely anticipated Spanish brand this time aimed at preserving the naïve and innocent images, at the same time putting them on a specific sinister background. The results came out to be just more than impressive. Describing the above-mentioned background, we can mention a haunted house, a vampire, which created a presupposed image of Dracula, mysterious gardens, crosses, and tombs.
Innovative shapes and fabrics here are used for the main concentration of the Diksi fall/winter 2013-2014 collection being the coats. Peculiar rhinestone buttons are quite specific details for the latter. Among the colors, it’s the shift from lilac to Bordeaux, some eggshell shades, emerald green and jade green. Coral shades are also present here, namely used with a comfy and classy coat having fur collar. Among the looks, we also notice a nice cropped jacket paired with a cool straight skirt, presented in the tones of navy blue. This is followed by a nice vintage shirt having the typical Diksi girl prints on, combined with a cute A-line skirt, and a nice retro cloche.
The awesome flutter details and ruffles represent another peculiar aspect of the Diksi fall/winter 2013-2014 collection. The mystique black finishing up the looks, is probably the best introduction of the dark theme.
Thus, this is, in fact, a super curious and creative way of presenting a fall/winter collection. Who would ever imagine the cute motives to be put so obviously emphasized via those scary motives? Diksi would! And it wonderfully did it wonderfully with the brand new Diksi fall/winter 2013-2014 collection!
