DSquared2 Spring/Summer 2015 Collection – Milan Fashion Week

The fashion shows of twin brothers Dan and Dean Caten always turn into beautiful spectacles, while their iconic designs for DSquared2 can never be confused with any other brand’s collections. The cheerful, youthful and bright DSquared2 spring/summer 2015 collection, which has just been unveiled at Milan Fashion Week spring 2015, sent smiling and charismatic models down the catwalk, spreading a warm summer mood with the rainbow of colors and one-of-a-kind designs showcased. It’s definitely one of the most memorable and wanna-have-it-all collections for spring, which combines wearable and modern designs with special effects and details that give so much life and attitude to these pieces. Once again, a DSquared2 show can be remembered for its uniqueness and once again a DSquared2 collection infects us all with its vibrant mood and iconic style!

The bright summery mood could be felt imprinted all over the DSquared2 spring/summer 2015 collection from the very first look presented, which featured interesting colorfully geometric printed super-short and slightly textured shorts and a simplistic white top, which were perfectly accessorized with a pair of black-framed glasses that gave a wiser look to the model, a pair of strappy heeled sandals and an oversized green bag. So many colors in one look, yet so harmonious and cool! Overall, we saw lots of bright colors in this single collection, ranging from turquoise, canary yellow and orange to green, magenta, blue, red and some versatile and slightly muted shades too, for all those who find this kaleidoscope of colors and prints too overwhelming for themselves. Cheerful geometric patterns featuring all those sassy colors added even more liveliness to the pieces, while the choice of the unique fabrics and design solutions polished the looks to perfection, creating a harmonious balance between color and shape.
The youthful sporty motif is the next describing element of the DSquared2 spring/summer 2015 collection, being interpreted into minimalist and structured crop tops, lots of lovely short shorts and the couple of swimsuits presented. Still, it did manage to look utterly girly and sometimes even classy thanks to the wisely chosen bottoms that balanced the styles. In line with girly casual pieces, the collection also showed quite formal suits put in cheerful shades, ideal for jazzing up your office wardrobes.

Bold feathery motifs have been used to boost the fun attitude of the entire collection, looking especially noteworthy on the sandals and the colorful bags. Through the end of the show the models turned into lush flower buds, wearing magnificent and extremely textured ruffled mini dresses, tops and skirts, all put in bright and juicy shades. In addition, we discovered modern interpretations of the denim and leather, used for a number of casual and formal clothing pieces, which were combined with other pieces quite interestingly and sometimes even unexpectedly.
Accessory wise, the DSquared2 spring/summer 2015 collection show made us smile too, presenting an array of playful, but also sultry options, like those colorful bags with feathers and ruffles put in the form of oversized flowers, the super-high mesh boots, the strappy sandals and summer boots. All the looks were also styled with black-framed glasses, just like the ones the brothers were wearing when giving a bow at the end of the show. It was perfect from the smallest details to the gorgeous designs presented, and we’re so eager now to try these pieces on!
