Oh, how much we admire Swedish blogger Elin Kling’s iconic style! Actually, not only we do get inspired by Kling’s fashion imagination, but also famous fashion house Guess has noticed her talent, as the renowned American brand chose exactly Elin Kling for their first-ever designer-retailer collaboration. The news first hit the web still in June and now the much anticipated Elin Kling for Guess by Marciano collection is available for purchase at Guess stores. If you haven’t bought anything from those effortlessly chic and iconic pieces yet, it’s high time to have a nosey at the complete lookbook and update your cold season wardrobe with a good style.
The 29-year-old talented and beautiful blogger has designed a 35-piece line for the beloved fashion house, which hit Guess stores and leading department stores worldwide on November 1. “It was Paul himself who called me,” Kling told Interview magazine. “I was scared in the beginning because he asked me for 18 pieces and I thought that was so… But once I got started, I couldn’t stop.”
Kling isn’t just the designer of this ultra-fashionable collection, but also the model, as she fronts the Elin Kling for Guess by Marciano lookbook. “It was a really fun challenge to work with Guess because our aesthetics are different,” recalls Elin. “I’m definitely a denim girl but I’m more minimalist. They asked me to do a maxidress and I came back with a black dress that was really sophisticated and hit right at the knees. They thought I was joking.”
The Elin Kling for Guess by Marciano collection is all about chic, sexiness and a beautiful minimalist allure. The line is packed with timeless little black dresses, sexy mini dresses, crop tops, matador-inspired jackets, skinny pants and ripped jeans, chambray shirts and relaxed tees, chunky knits and matching accessories. The collection bears Kling’s style imprinted all over, which looks just amazing, when spiced up with Guess’s glam-chic touches.
“As you know I love knits, oversized knits. I wanted to create one that almost felt like wore a big scarf, but still with a lot of structure in the fabric. To get that shape, and that turtleneck. It will come in grey, black and mustard,” Kling wrote on her blog, stylebykling.nowmanifest.com.
Another noteworthy detail in the collection is the chevron. “The chevron is something you will find over and over again in my collection for GUESS by Marciano. I saw it at one of the Matador pictures, and then I just started to work on it,” Elin says.
So if you are one of those fashionisers, who constantly draw inspiration from Kling’s style, you should do your best to get one of those astounding pieces from the Elin Kling for Guess by Marciano collection as soon as possible, as it’s a limited edition line and won’t stay there long.
