Ah, sophistication knows no bounds as we watch the golden Ermanno Scervino spring/summer 2016 collection as it airs live on the Milan Fashion Week runway. It is incredible, it is breathtaking and it is all a woman could ever want. The materials have a soft and often shimmering look about them, bared shoulders or mechanic uniform style pieces and all. There is just something about the gentleness emanating from this collection that draws us in and spits us out as we are steadfastly happy throughout.
The safari theme is there in this collection as well, just as it has been in Bottega Veneta, Antonio Marras and Roberto Cavalli. We find ourselves immersed in pink mink and laser-cut canvas against shades of white on the lighted runway that has gentle sophistication written all over it. Crystal brooches were seen throughout, with pink and cream colored ribbons creating petals, thus introducing florals in a more desirably noble manner.
Sexiness knows no bounds within this particular Ermanno Scervino spring 2016 collection. Our closets are screaming with the need to add some of these incredible dresses and jumpsuits to our everyday wardrobes, while the gauzy feel of a few white and black ones here and there brings to mind our nightgowns that flow over our bodies with such silky smoothness. Short skirts and long, small shorts and swimsuit emulations could be seen on the runway, with the most phenomenal of looks being the long leaf embroidered cream and red coat over the stark white shirt tucked into the miniskirt, finished off with a strappy pair of open-toe sandals.
The digital style to the stitching is a common theme here as well, just as it has been on the New York and London runways. All the while, we cannot help but fall in love with the silky blends of the clothes, the soft pastel colors really grabbing our attention. We also see reds appeal among the blushing pinks and dusky blues, while pinstripe shirts add accents and we are left wanting more and more and more. Interesting enough, one of the top guests of the show was the Italian First Lady, Agnese Renzi, as she arrived amongst the throng of celebrities and fellow guests.
Red carpet? Oh yes! There are enough gowns here to really make the red carpet looks stand out, from gauzy transparent materials to satin gowns. Pleats are seen peeking through, while glittering appliques stare us in the face and gauzy lace attempts to bring a virginal effect to the collection as a whole. It is like seeing a bride’s sleepwear closet come to life and have new fashionable sense breathed into it. It is possibly the most spectacular aspect to the collection, romantic and lacy in one fell swoop.
All in all, the Ermanno Scervino spring 2016 line-up is a beloved collection that already has social media buzzing with positive reviews, applauded for the ingenious application of femininity to the incredible beauty showcased.
