The iconic Karl Lagerfeld built a very recognizable style that could be seen in every collection. Fendi’s Resort 2018 Collection stayed faithful to the characteristic designs of the Italian fashion house. Even after 50 years with the brand, Lagerfeld and his designs do not get old. The latest collection is proof that Fendi is timeless.
Unlike many brands that presented extravagant pieces that go out of style, this fashion house went for a very classic collection. For this collection, Lagerfeld used less masculinity but added a lot of neon and pop attitude. The Resort 2018 Collection very much resembles Fendi’s Fall Collection. The designer decided to use the same mood from the previous fall line and revitalized it in the middle of the year.
In the Resort 2018 Collection Fendi offers almost everything. A lot of different fabrics, colors and details. The greatest thing about Lagerfeld’s line are definitely the coats. The perfectly tailored coats are available in colors that you wouldn’t even imagine. A hot fuchsia check coat looks perfect with the pleated skirt in the same color and pattern. The maxi checks are also present in many other coats and dresses. The neon yellow is the brightest point of the line. The silk yellow pleated dress is probably the most romantic piece in this collection.
The dresses are magical and idyllic. Starting from the lace ones in yellow and orange, to the more elegant ones in black and embroidered white, you simply can’t choose a favorite one. One of the most eye-catching dresses is the beautiful wide dress made of silk with perfectly painted flowers.
Large pearls placed on chokers and coats just contribute to the soft side of the designs. When it comes to bags, Fendi always has a lot to show. The handbags can be seen in different colors, shapes, and sizes. Most of them are interestingly accessorized with pearls or other Fendy-typical details. Karl didn’t miss out to label the designs. You can see Fendi’s name embroidered on the back of a coat and a lot of “Fs” on small parts of the handbags. High heels and socks are obviously making a huge come-back. The models were wearing pointed nude stilettos with sports socks, which we could also notice on Valentino’s show.
