The Bohemian trend, inspired by those, who live quite unconventionally artistic lives, seems to be the new “it” fashion style for the 2014 holiday season. We are not literally speaking about the olden refugees from Central Europe, but of the sexy gypsy look that gives no mind to the modern fashions and is as rebelliously divine as you can get. During the 20th century, Bohemian style had taken on the very definition of a woman’s struggle against conventional fashion, wherein ladies eschewed the mid-to-late Victorian era corsets and frivolities for a simpler, hoopless design that was both darker in color and adorned by beads around the neck. Later, the addition of flowers in the hair or on one’s dress truly created what is today known as the Bohemian look.
The For Love & Lemons holiday 2014 collection leaves little to the imagination. The focus here is on either mini dresses or maxi skirts with an emphasis on sheer or crochet fabric. Morgane Warnier does an excellent job in showcasing the designs, which have us begging for more. Between the colors, the lace, the velvets and the boots, the pieces before us are simply captivating. Paired with the Topanga Canyon backdrop from California, the designs appear rich and breathtaking, peaking the interests of those, who are given a glimpse of the collection. Each piece is truly a work of art and very much the unconventional holiday wear.
Tall, thigh-high black velvet boots compliment a short beige dress with black lace sleeves reminiscent of spider webs and nobility of times past. Ring after ring adorns the model’s fingers, speaking of a gypsy lifestyle, where the only safe place to store your precious valuables is on your own body. The gothic cross on black choker adds intrigue to the design, somehow bringing the Witches of Salem to mind.
Gold bracelets, rings and long chains with cross pendants serve to accentuate the floral print fabrics of this dark but handsome dress. The thigh-high boots allow for just enough skin to show from under the hem of the skirt, while the deep V down the chest adds to the allure of this lovely piece.
Truly leaving little to the imagination, the black lace and white embroidery mini dress bares the body to show off simple but elegant lingerie beneath. The look simply would not be complete without those velvet thigh-high boots either, serving to have a petite body look infinitely taller.
We simply cannot get enough of the charming royal blue mini with matching velvet royal blue ankle boots. Killer heels and gaudy bronze jewellery add an earthy feel to this glamorous effect, certain to become the stable of holiday fashion this season.
The colors added to the palette of the For Love & Lemons holiday 2014 collection are intriguing and remind us of witches, hoaxes and spells a little too much. The lacy maxi skirt and short sleeve crop top do wonders for the figure however and have staring mesmerized at the delicate nature of the material.
The maxi skirt and crop top combo continues with this luscious look, a sultry reminder of evenings full of intrigue and passion. The floral print is subtle enough while it falls in a sheer material down to ankles, slits to the side added for extra effect. Simply glorious!
The zigzag pattern across the chest is too delicious not to mention, while the black lace design looks exquisite in both a pantsuit and as a mini accented with thigh-high velvet heels. The amount of skin shown off is tasteful, while completely alluring and even positively sexy. We love the whole of the For Love & Lemons holiday 2014 collection, but we most definitely love these most!
